Summary:
I'm REALLY liking it!!

If you have a hankering to play a Nintendo classic style games like Link (zelda) you will LOVE this game. This game isn't just a remake. Its an improvement to them - its a beyond the classic attempt.

This game specializes in the niche fun things that happen those games - the unexpected - the extras.

Dungeon 4 beat me 39 times! I was sure every time I was going to come out alive.... too sure...

Oh yea. This is an adventure game. You talk to characters (in town) then go to dungeons to bash monsters to save the day. Its not a serious atmosphere though.

Unlike most Sony RPGs you actually bash them with a sword by pressing x (its not like ffx where you select commands then watch the battle).

However: this is no FF8! Don't buy this if you don't have a clue what a classic adventure / nintendo style game is or whether you like it.

Summary:
This game is a near exact copy of Nethack, an old game created for Unix a long, long time ago. I can't believe that Enix lowered themselves to stealing someone elses game and marketing it with a new title and better graphics (nethack itself is all text, since graphics didn't exist back then.) My advice is to do yourselves a favor and download one of the free windows ports of Nethack, such as Rangband or Angband. They are almost exactly the same, except that Torneko has a trite storyline and Rangband has more classes to choose from.

Summary:
Torneko "The Last Hope" is a game for the masochist. This game punishes the player from the get go as there is no way to build up levels and keep them. This game hosts multiple random dungeons where the user starts out at level 1 and is limited to a finite number of items that can be carried in. If Torneko dies in the dungeon he loses all his items, all his levels, half his gold and he must start the dungeon all over again. The only way to save progress in a dungeon is to save it at a save spot. However, the user can only continue once.

Because the game is based upon random generation, Torneko may be bombarded by monsters upon entering a dungeon or traveling to a new floor in the dungeon; sometimes resulting in death. One such random generation gem I discovered was that teleport traps can be placed inside shops. If Torneko picks up an item to buy and steps on a teleport trap while walking to the shop owner; he will be teleported to another room in the dungeon. Then, multiples of the shop owners kind will chase down Torneko and kill him (this is a shame as Torneko will then lose all his items, all his levels and half his gold as well as be forced to start the dungeon all over again).

Another disapointment is that the playability in no way resembles Dragon Warrior except for the borrowed music and monsters.

The redeeming quality of this game is its animated sequence at the beginning. Other than that, knowing what I know now, I would have never bought the game.

Summary:
A Spin off of the Dragon Warrior IV game, known as Taloon. Torneko is the merchant known for his skill of finding items and his humerous moves.

In this game you are Torneko and you must save the village that you opened shop in from the Magic Dungeons that have recently appeared. To do this you must retreive the Cursed Items.
