Summary:
It's a strategy/rpg game that is based on nordic mythology, and you play as a Valkyrie who recruit dead heroes souls to fight against evil.

It is an addictive game with well-developed characters. It uses a simple battle system but with good variations in level-up and gaining strength & skills in many areas.

Summary:
Valkyrie Profile is a story-driven RPG with sequentially set plots and a large cast of beautifully designed characters. It's separated into "Chapters", and you have control over how long you spend in each segment. You can tell a LOT of work went into the game, and it's good for about one or two plays. The fight system is based around timing, and the character development stops being complex after about halfway through the game. I like it, but it doesn't allow much freedom. The plot is linear.

Well, i believe valkyrie profile was an excellent game overall, the battle system was the coolest i've ever seen in a video game, the multiple attacks and spells really were awesome. i was amazed.. the character list, the weapons, the skills, everything i liked it .... Im looking forward to the sequel, i hope there is one.

Summary:
In my opinion, this is one of the best RPG for playstation. I have played the game 3 times through(still saw all three endings) and sort of mastered the game.(Did not miss anything in the game. all characters, items, extra dungeon, best sword, all voices, ect.) After 80+ hours, i did get tired of playing this game though. -_-;

Okay. this game is not for everyone. this game is for gamers who:
1. likes 2D sprites and japanese animation styles
2. can live without CGs everywhere
3. enjoys RPG for story and innovative gameplay
4. enjoys powering up characters for itself.
5. like extra features like anime intro, extra dungeon, sound test, difficulty level, etc.
6. you are not turned down by a theme of death.

understand that this game has a deep storyline. unless you dig deep to get it, you will not get the full enjoyment this game can provide.

Summary:
This game story wise overall is ok. It has a lot of side storys that very from good to bad. Most of them are good but there are a cuple that aren't so good. The gameplay is GREAT and I mean it. When you first play is it seams good but the more you get into it the better it is. There aren't to many movies but the few that are in the game are pretty good. The music does match the mood of the game. In this case it's mostly sad or dark music.
