Price Paid:  $40.00 from Toys "R" Us

Summary:
There are many great RPG's for Playstation; Final Fantasy 7&9, Xenogears, and Suikoden 1&2 come to mind. Legend of Legaia does not. When the game came out back in the day I was grabbing up every RPG spewed onto the market. It was no suprised that this ended up in my gaming console. There is nothing worse than spending $40 on something that wasn't worth crap. This game certainly wasn't. The story was stupid. Some games have evil magic users, gods, demons and what-nots as enemies. This game had mist. The graphics weren't advanced enough to make the mist cool. It was an awful story. The characters were unlikeable and the whole game flow was somewhat stretched for my tastes. The most important point of an RPG (THE STORY) was the worst point of this game. Please do yourself a favor and spend the money on a different game.

Price Paid:  $50.00 from GameStop

Summary:
Hmmmmm... what should I say about this wonderful game? Well, to begin with, it is overall an excellent game. The second I bought it, I could tell that it would be a sure-fire hit. Man, was I right! When broken into pieces, this game still looks like a decent RPG game, to say the least. The gameplay is original and fun, and all of the extras that you can perform are all extremely enjoyable. The graphics, while coming close to perfect looks for the Playstation 1, still have some minor glitches in them, but overall, there still great, fluid, and funny, especially in battles. As for the sound, well, it's really nothing special, but it still sounds decent for a Playstation 1 game, and most of the music is pretty good. Overall, this game seems to have only minor flaws, but the one major flaw I have trouble with is that, sometimes, the battles can get fairly repetative... rarely times, even boring. Still, if you like RPG games and are hungry for anything that'll do, and you have a Playstation, then you should seriously consider purchasing this near-perfect game... 'nuff said.

Summary:
Good. Not great.

Its a Sony release - so there's nothing "low quality" in it. But it does has some elements that drag it.

Addictive battle scenes and characters. You'll love hearing their battle cries over and over.

Good character developement for an rpg. Many towns. Many plot twist. A good story developement.

Gets allot more interesting after the first 2 hrs. gameplay (typical initiation period) and keeps gets better as your exposed to more of the plot.

Price Paid:  $20.00 from Software Etc.

Summary:
The overall game was awesome and the storyline and plot are just amazing. Pretty much the only flaw was that it was to short and it didn't have enough characters. But it was amazingly a world all in its own. It had wars against human races and it also has FISHING, you cannot forget the fishing. It has pretty much everything I could hope for in such a game.

Price Paid:  $3.00 from Pasar Malam

Summary:
This is my very first Rpg Game. i have never played rpg game before. i am actually grateful that my first contact with rpg game is with legend of legaia.

the story is okay in its own way.i really dun wanna explain the story. it 's about the powerful MIST, that sort of like turn people into horryfiying monsters that can't control their oen thoughts and feelings.

That there's a thing like seru. A powerful "thing" that used to be on the human side, giving them powers of no ordianary humans like us can have. (like super strength or flying...) but one day humans sort of like became greedy or something?! hmm...wanna keep the power to themselves...i can't remember the story!!! darn!

anyway, the bad guys made the mist generators that produces such mist. and the hero would have to unleash the power of the Genesis Tree that can destroy the mist from its surrounding. thats part of the story, anyway the story is a simple setup that slowly builds up on its complexity in storyline...

the battle system is like u can control ur hero's movements like attacking up or down, left hand or right hand, and of course u can use magic, the fighting stances are great, man!!!

Trust me this game is good.

But at the start it is a bit slow. but be patient. the good things are at the back anyway. sow u build up ur levels and then do ur stuff.

the music is great. very good.

graphics - 3D graphics, slightly blocky when they are in the battle scene, the rest are well done.

lots of mini games for u to play. it's wortht he money buy it!!!
