Summary:
In a nutshell Xenogears handsdown is the single greatest playstation RPG of all time. If you are a serious RPG gamer than this is a game you should not neglect to pick up. The story is so deep that I can't even summarize it. Basicly the game starts out with an anime cutscence in which you
see a spaceship come under attack from within. The ship itself turns on the people within it. The captain selfdestructs the ship and that is the end of that cutscene. Then it jumps to the main character whos name is Fei. He lives in the village of Lahan where he has lived for the past 3 years with the previous years a mystery to him. This all the story im gonna tell but the story is in a class of its own. In other words if you don't have xenogears go buy it now.

Summary:
*****SOME SPOILERS AHEAD*****

Love conquers all....

This conclusion to one of the best story lines in all of gaming is tried and true but a bit overdone. Xenosaga succeeds in being engrossing at it's high points and a complete let down on it's low.

You begin as 'fei', a lost and mysterious character searching for answers to his past and discovering the greater force that drives us all. Fate, religion, love all these elements tie together to form an incredible and tightly woven storyline that will trap all your attention waiting for every new revelation to unfold. Fei discovers he has an incredible power and in the process of this discover destroys the town he grew up in. Orphaned again, fei sets out to find the answers to this power and has a large conspiracy ,that he is unwittingly a part of, bear itself before him. Fei discovers that the answers to all of lifes largest questions about Fate, Religion and family are all controlled by higher beings that form all our thoughts and conciousness for us prior to our own births. Fei's true objective is to free us all from these confines and free himself from his mysterious past that has recessed into his mind. Friends and loved ones join him along the way and he finds that the bonds between him and his cohorts runs deeper than their adventure together, Love will conquer all. Great story telling to be sure.

I found xeno to be a mixed bag of great characters and story telling and some of the worst gameplay i ever had to sit through.

This game was meant to be an un-official sequeal to Chrono Trigger, which is my favorite game. (Xenogears was released before Chrono Cross.)

Price Paid:  $50.00 from a store

Summary:
This (in my opinion) is the greatest game ever. It has a complex story, and many plot twists. You get a very brief overview of the game before you play. at times, the text gets confusing in your first time through with references to -him- and 'lambs' and whatnot. This is appealing because Fei has amnesia and by not knowing what the characters (expecially Citan) are talking about until later in the game. Many of the 'bad guys' aren't really bad once you get to know them.
The first disk is beautifully done, but the second disk had a few problems. The team who made it ran out of money, so the second disk may seem short on things. There were going to be two more omnigears, but they were left out of the final product (because of the funding). Xenogears has a lot to do with the bible, and may get you interested in it. If you never read it, or don't know about Babel, Cain and Abel, ect. you may not like it much, but this isn't the main theme for the game. The locations are beautiful and each one has it's own culture. People who say Fei never fights with one side don't realize that he does. There are also a few mini-quests and whatnot to get rare items, upgrade your gears, and get accessories. There is a lot of text, but a lot of action. Without all the text, the game wouldn't be as complex and interesting.

Summary:
Xenogears... not much that I can say other than fantastic! Truly the best RPG I have played! I purchased this game when it first came out and I still must say that it still outshines even the Final Fantasy series.
