Summary:
THE TRUE REVIEW TO KNOCKOUT KINGS 2000 I BASE MY SCORES ON A 1-10 SCALE

I loved this game. I played this game for many hours in career and multiplayer mode and i had a lot of fun. There are a lot of cool moves, especially the illegal ones, where the refs will give you warnings, and you can get disquallified. At the time, this was the best boxing game available, and IMO it still is.

Graphics-8
For a PSX game they're not bad. The people look cool and so doesnt everything else, they're not choppy which is another cool thing about them.

Gameplay/Control-10
The controls are easy enough that you can play this game and have fun even if you've never played it, but there is enough moves to keep you entertained for a while. There is a good selection of fighters from all three divisions and some good classic fights too.

Sound-8
The music was good and wasn't repetitive.

Fun Factor-VERY HIGH
Thats what makes the game so great, is that it is fun. There are a bunch of different moves and characters to fight.

Replay Value-HIGH
After you've played it alot it is still fun to play it again, but if you get too good at it it might get boring.

Frustration Factor-SOME
If you lose it might get frustrating

Challenge-8
It can be very tough on hard difficulty.

GOOD POINTS
-Good selection of fighters
-Good selection of moves
-A cool career and slugfest mode

BAD POINTS
-Some of the better fighters have too much of an advantage over the not as good ones.

Overall-8.5
This is my favorite boxing game of all time.

Summary:
As a boxing fan I liked this game, but there could be a lot of improvements. I became champion at every weight division and found the stronger boxers were obviously much tougher than me despite the fact that there stats showed that they were the same. This was frustrating as I would end up being knocked out despite scoring 3 times as many punches.
Could really be done better. But still a good boxing game.

Summary:
Knockout Kings 2000 goes a long way in creating the complete boxing experience(hopefully KK 2001 can complete that task). One of the most noticable thing about the game is its seriousness. This is not just a slugfest. This is not just a beat em up. If you are not prepared to block, feint, clutch, bob and weave before punching this is not your game. Ready 2 Rumble is more arcade style. One great feature in KK 2000 is the Career Mode. This is the ultimate challenge and is a step up from Slugfest and exhibition. My only problem was that it was too drawn out. The training mode to get attribute points was very tiresome when you had to repeatedly punch the bag. Perhaps acquiring
attributes via your match performance(result-time-method) would be better. The training got so boring that I just looked at the cheats to get an originally high pointed boxer(this eliminates training).

Summary:
This game is the boxing series of all time no mistake it surpasses ready 2 rumble in my view, there are some flaws but can be overturned by the blood, sweat, and tears your boxer puts in the game gets a fair 3/5 overall E.A. can do better

Price Paid:  $40.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
Game has good play, but some stuff gets repetitive. Stuff like announcer's comments and music. Other than that...highley recommended. Kinda sucked that they didnt get to add some kick butt boxers like Terry Norris or Roy Jones Jr. But good thing they let out that Prince guy.
