Price Paid:  $12.00 from Funcoland

Summary:
I really wanted to like this game, and I did for a little while. It has a lot going for it. The gameplay is fun enough. I liked building my own teams through the draft option. I also liked creating my own players. But, the game is just too easy in too many ways. It's easy to build a teams that's way too dominate winning nearly every game. Trading is lame when you figure out how nonsensical the computer can be about the trades it accepts. Players are rated a value, usually between 40 and 99, it's kind of a general guide to how good a player is. It's very general though. When trading with the computer, the computer will trade anyone for anyone, so long as their within a few points of each other. In a draft you can pick out high valued players, even ones you don't like, then trade and fill your team with all-stars. Building your own players is fun, but again I found it easy to build a team tht could cruise to records beyond records. I really wanted to like this game, beacause I like baseball, but this is just to easy.

Price Paid:  $30.00 from Toys R Us

Summary:
It's a terrific game, fun to play with your friends, and a great home run chase, except it's only going to be with the people on your team because you can hit about 200 homers a season.

Summary:
This is a great game for the amatuer gamer. But experts like me make games look silly. If ur looking to hit more then 200 homers in a season this is a good game but if want a real challange look at some of the other games on the market.

Summary:
WRONG !!! The REAL fans remember when there was more to it than just hitting homers. Eveybody thinks Sammy Sosa is real great, but the truth is ...and the real fans know that he strike out way too much, and that is a statistic that means something in a real game because thats less opportunities for sacrifices and defensive errors by making contact. You cant just swing for the fences every time like McGwire does, back in the old days. There was more of an art to the hitting, and powewr was always an element, but it didnt DOMINATE, like it does today. fans, that would be better off just going ahead and sticking to WWF Wrestling (bad, dumbed down plots written to push your "I Dominate" buttons)...My point is this, The game of baseball was not originally created to make lots of money, like Arena Football or something. But its starting to turn that way by dumbing down the game for the antsy types who dont care if a guy strikes out 4 times in a game as long as he hits a homer it gives you a excuse to jump out of your seat and feel constantly entertained...

Summary:
This game is fantastic, the graphics rule and gameplay is good. The best way to play is to create a team and play a season, much more realistic. Spring Training is also a cool mode to play. Every stat is covered that you could possibly think of. Too easy to hit home runs, but that is what the fans want right?
