Summary: First all, I'd like to ask all a couple questions...
A) Why are ppl dissing this amazing product?
B) Why are ppl saying the installation is difficult?
THIS product is so much damn fun. Previously I would just play 1-player games or just play sports games against the cpu....boring cuz i eventually own them and it gets kind of redundant....So i went to a pal's house played nfl2k5 online and WOW it was fun i KNEW i had to have this, especially playing with the headset it is so much damn fun!! So a few days later i got it and let me tell you...WOW is it amazing or what. I paid 40 for a new adapter and 20 for a used headset, just makesure the headset's in good condition and man this rules. i play it a lot and its so much fun playing sports games or any game just talkin to ur opponent whether its a friendly game where one points out some tips to u or some idiot on the other side of the country talkin smack to you....its so much fun...and if your comp and ps2 r in the same room its setup is seirously a piece of cake. I was worried that it would be so hard i even called my friend who had it to come over. When he couldnt come over I was anxious to play it so i just did it myself followed easy instructions online the ps2 site or u can use the little book they give u when u purchase it. I finished in 15 minutes set up. This product RULES and what makes it rule even more is how it is 40 bucks and then Thats IT. No xbox live monthly fee crap. I love this product and believe me, if you like competition and great gaming...you will too!
Summary: Ok, Ok. I am tired of people downing this great product just because they are having trouble hooking it up. I had trouble at first, but I did the smart thing....called the help line. The only thing that I was doing wrong was not restarting my Road Runner modem. Once I installed it I was amazed. This product has opened up my gaming experience.
Summary: Very easy set-up (I have SBC Yahoo! DSL), and very fun. A good investment if you like competition. However, there isn't a huge selection of titles that support this device. (Mostly sports games.) I would like to see some first person shooters, fighters, and more racing games. Owning this item makes your PS2 look complete. I definately recommend that you buy this item soon, you never know, it might become rare and the price will skyrocket like the dreamcast broadband adapter. Smart buy, the product's future looks promising.
Summary: This adapter is good i guess but i can't connect this crap. I have msn and msn doesn't appear there so i had to type the phone number i call and my sign in name and password. After that it tells you that the user name or password is wrong when i'm checking it that is right. I haven't played with it at all. this crap sucks!!!!!!!!! i would've put zero if there was for the rating..

Summary: Just a few days ago I was FINALLY able to get my hands on a Sony PlayStation 2 Network Adapter. I had been trying to get one for months, but to no avail, as they had all been sold out up until now. This little device was hyped up the whole summer by Sony...and, fortunately, it has exceeded the hype and is overall a must-own product for every PS2 gamer out there.
Installation of the Network Adapter is easy. Just pop the expansion bay cover off the back of your PS2 and pop in the Adapter. Then use a coin to screw it into place, and plug it into your phone line. Put in a memory card with at least 137k of free space to save your network configuration settings. Now you pop in the startup disc and set up your account.
Setting up your account is also easy. As far as I know the Network Adapter supports most of the major ISPs, such as AOL, MSN, AT&T WorldNet, Earthlink, SBC Yahoo! Dial, Sympatico, etc. for both narrowband (56k phone line) and broadband (cable, DSL, T1) connections.
I am an AOL user on 56k, so I chose the AOL option. Setup was so easy and painless. All you have to do is enter your Screen Name and the corresponding password, pick your access numbers, turn off call waiting (so you don't get disconnected) and you're ready to play.
