Crave Entertainment Harvest Moon - Save the Homeland

Description
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland takes the popular series in a whole new direction, offering a deeper and more robust role-playing experience. It might be best described as a 'Life Simulation'.

Summary:
Its a good beginner game. Just like I have heard from another review, the 64 version is the best. The game plot is alright, it just starts out with you taking over the familys farm. In this specific game you have to save the homeland (just like in the title). It can be fun for a while, sooner or later you might play it again.

Strengths:
I guess i would say that the Strength(s) are better charater interaction. I am sorry to say but this is all I can really think that is good,
but it is the best for a beginner no matter what system. Now thinking of a streghth for overall quality the price is usually at or under atleast $20.00

Weaknesses:
I would say how many different storylines there are. It is not necassarly a good thing to have alot of storylines because it can get repetitive
even though the story lines change, they don't change that much. You still have to start over with almost everything each time. There are barley any many upgrades as usual (from H.M games on N64 & gamecube) You can not progess as much with housing, tools (upgrades like said before), and relationships. It seems that compared to other games, Save the Homeland time really goes quick, not when you are having fun (if any) but when you first just learn the ways around town.

Summary:
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland is not the best of the harvest moon series. For those of you that have just started with this one, it's a great one to start out with, but there's more (and better) where that came from if you liked it. And if you didn't, I'd still encourage you to try the version for N64 (which in my opinion is the best). It lacks somethings that all the previous games have had; ie: sheep, festivals, marriages, home renovations (there's only 2, a kitchen and a doghouse), the need for money, tool upgrades (there's only one for the sythe). You are also only given one year to complete the game, which can normally be beat by early summer. On the plus, the characters are far better than I have ever seen before, and the sub-plots that go on through the game are very interesting. Out of the 20 characters I liked all but 2 (the supermarket dude and the old woman). You can actually cook your own recipes instead of harvesting useless recipes just for braggin rights, and your dog can be trained. Your horse and dog must gain your trust before they will do anything cool, and you can take your horse ANYWHERE! All in all this game is very good, but it's no the best of the series. 4 out of 5

Summary:
Harvest Moon is a very cute game. You are able to run your own farm as you please, and get to help make it sucessful. This is a good game to play if you enjoy games like The Sims, and Sim City.

Summary:
The summary of the game is an a-OK plot. You must save your farm and all the village from being torn down into an amusment park! You must find a way to save it. Can you?I have played every versian of harvestmoon I know of, and I am only 11 years old! No kidding. From Super nintendo, game boy&color, N64, and, alas! The santuary of PS2. Buy it; its wonderful!
