Summary:
A girl with a sixth sense going to find her brother who has disappeared searching for his mentor who also disappeared in a haunted mansion. Honestly, I had no idea what to expect. But the fact that it was based on a true story interested me. I had played Silent Hill 2 before I played this. And it took me forever to finish it because I was that scared. I'm almost done this one and I'm ten times more scared than what I was for Silent Hill 2. Very very very scary stuff...

Summary:
Insomnia is the disorder in which people cannot sleep at night and may get exhausted quicker and may die of exhaustion. Why does this have to do with the game you might say? Well the game is SCARY and all people who play it may spend a few sleepless nights armed with a flashlight and a holy cross under their neck. Yup It's that scary.

The story is quite simple enough.Mafuyu, your little brother wanders in a haunted mansion searching for his proffessor. He never comes out. As Miku, you journey into the mansion to find your brother and solve the gruesome murders of the mansions troubled past.Armed with only a flashlight and a camera,to "kill" the ghosts, the game trully deserves to be called the scariest game of all time. Please PLEASE check this game out it totally rocks!

oh yeah a few words of advice. Never play it alone or at night or be prepared to become paranormal, and scared outta your wits. Having an extra pair of underpants and a bible is recomended.

Summary:
"Scariest game ever..." it says on the back of its box. And you know what? I couldn't agree more. This game is SCARY. No, no let me say it again SCAAAARY. This game is based on true events that happened. It revolves around a haunted mansion and a Japanese cult that performed satanic rituals like strangling, blinding and...ripping. You'll see when you play. You take control of Miku Hinasaki, a girl with a "sixth sense" for ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. She goes to the haunted mansion known as Himuro Mansion in search of her brother, Mafuyu, who did not return for two weeks. Mafuyu was also looking for someone who supposedly "disappeared". But Miku couldn't take it anymore and just had to find out why Mafuyu never returned for so long...

Summary:
Amazing... I bought this game when it launched and 30+ total gameplay hours later and I haven't beat this game. I finally gave up out of frustration. Tecmo really did bring something different to the survival horror genre, and the game is genuinely scary. I really liked the idea of dealing with ghosts and not zombies or mutated monsters. I liked the concept of having to deal with ghosts without firearms, and it seems to be a very cool story. But it's also got some genuinely poor gameplay mechanics, that spoiled the game for me.
FF also uses old survival horror cliches. The mansion you explore is huge, but despite that you will be backtracking more than Davy Crocket. I seriously can't remember when I backtracked more. There's also the "key" type quests, and the number puzzles. There is a sliding lock puzzle that's pretty cool, but the 4th time I came to a sliding lock puzzle, it got old. The most positive thing I can say about FF though, is it has no in-game load times whatsoever. A pretty amazing programming feat.
I could've used a guide to beat it, but what fun is it to know what every bump around every corner is? After starting over for the 5th time, it's time to call it quits and move on. Although I know enough about this game inside and out by now to give it another run and beat it, fall is coming along with a slew of new games.
