Summary:
I always wanted to get this game so I finally did..Having read other magazine reviews who had given lacklustre average reviews I thought I would review this game myself because it is BRILLIANT! Yes its SHEER GENIUS and KRZ_E JAP MADNESS! Reminicisent of Missile Command but with colorful trippy fireworks...The Aim of the game is detonate fireworks which fly from bottom of screen. Pure and Simple like the best puzzle games are ( Chu Chu Rocket !!! )
Gameplay extends to pulling off multiple colored fireworks by combining different colors to get a chain of different fireworks.. again u can get different fireworks as well which have different explosions... If u miss fireworks your energy depletes but there are energy bonuses to bring it back up ( u can do this in starmine mode as well ). To progress thru the game u have to get to the end of the map. If yr energy depletes fully b4 this its game over! Ive only played this game for <2 hours and look how much babble sheed im coming out with.. TRUST ME ON THIS,this is one of the most original games out on ps2..theres a lot of poo ps2 games out there that are updated shoddy pants but this game is the ONE! Ive had my Ps2 for 4 months now and this is the FIRST game ive got purely coz it was the only one that impressed me....yeah fine GT3 A - Spec ...THIS IS THE ONLY PS2 GAME TO GET! Right on to gfx b4 my brain explodes. There are rules which u must go thru to appreciate all the things u can pull off like STARMINE!!
U can also get wild fireworks which u can combine with other colors... its difficult to fully explain the possible gameplay that can be got from this game. U HAVE TO PLAN ! THERE IS STRATEGY ..i dont know why other reviewers below have written that there isnt...u obviously arent good at the game.. go back to your BUST A MOVES!
Ure told what fireworks come next .. try chaining 4 different colors using wild fireworks .. now thats a challenge! This game is misunderstood....however its coming on Platinum soon ( i fink ) so every1 can get into this!I fink intelligent tech step roller jump up jungle drum n bass on a spliff tip would have suited this game but thats just me...its music works and sounds good..nuff said..
Get some class AAA snowflake sticky ass amsterdam GANJA and some m8s fire up the bongs and play this game..watch the replay and switch it to psychedilic mode AND SPACE OUT! IN SPACE! This game IS A LEGAL HIGH! in the replay u can also turn on rain , snow, change camera angles .. TOO GOOD FOR U... BUY THIS GAME NOW...get on ebay and u'll probably get it on the cheap..

Summary:
I really wanted to like this game, but I ended up selling it a week after I bought it. It was not very entertaining. I normally love puzzle games. I guess this game is really more like an old arcade game than a puzzle game. It reminded me more of q-bert than tetris. It is more about speed than strategy. I did not like the fact that you could not save your progress. You have to play it straight thru in one sitting if you want to finish it, and start over at the beinning next time you play. I could not sit through this game for more than 2 stages. It was too boring. Maybe it was just me...but I could not get into this game

Summary:
At first, this game seems like the average particle effects tech demo/puzzler with no real depth; however, once you gain the skill needed to beat the Hard mode of this game you will see that it is so much more. I relate playing this game to a zen experience. It uses the part of your mind all classic puzzlers do. While the gameplay can get tense and fast paced, it is also quite relaxing and is a great stress reliever. The two-player mode is as good as competative puzzlers get! What's so cool about it is that instead of throwing negative objects at the other player, the better you do the more of the screen you get! You can also rotate the whole screen and take their flares. One final note: beware the wacky "space family." :) You'll understand once you get the game- which I most highly recomend.

Summary:
A fun new puzzle game for the PS2 where you link together fireworks.
Not as addicting as Tetris, but it does keep you going , and has beautiful graphics to boot.
