Acclaim Burnout Racing Review

Acclaim Burnout

Description
Burnout reinvents high-risk racing with the only high speed, high-energy, pulse-pounding arcade style street racer on PlayStation 2. Based on real-life crash dynamics, Burnout’s action will leave you sweating, short of breath and totally in shock. Hyperventilating is part of the fun.

Price Paid:  $20.00 from Ultimate Eletronic

Summary:
When i first bought this game, I pop it into the drive and took it for a test drive, and boy i loved it. Because of the fast pace of the game and the heart-pupping trill of drving on the wrong side of the street. Anyway, that all stops in about an 1 or so. the first 4 challegal were cool and fun, but the last challegals or so it was so hard that one crash or worng move that would kill you. The only way you could win is by luck or played it oveer and over untill. You will get very fustrated about this game. also there's only like 10 cars of something like that it just plain stupid. the only thing that i kind of liked this game was because of the nice environment, but still not the best.

Summary:
Burnout is one of the best car racing games I have ever played. It is intense, and unpredictable. The only problem was the crashes which stayed almost all the same and they got quite annoying. But when burnout 2 comes better, they are gonna have much better crashes.

Price Paid:  $5.00 from Choices

Summary:
I thought the gameplay was intense for the first majority of my game time, but the novelty soon woreoff whrn the crashes started becoming the same. I felt that a bit more time put into this game to give a bit more variety to the levels, etc. would have improved the game. Even though the downfalls of the game, I still feel it is worth getting purely for the intense burnout experience.

Price Paid:  $50.00 from KMart

Summary:
I tried really hard to like this game, but it let me down.

The concept was great, and I did enjoy driving like an idiot, but I came away feeling cheated.

I was up for more, but there wasn't any.

The packaging promised that i wouldn't be able to put it down, but it didn't have much replay value at all. At least I learned how hard it is to drive a bus....
