Summary:
Horrible ! I beg any gamer who wants to have a fun and playable F1 game to stay away from this.
Why ? Read for details below please. Anyway, I got this game from the budget bin...but giving the €39 I paid for it, to the poor would have given me more fun. A few months before, I had F1 Racing Championship by Ubisoft which I traded in to be able to afford Onimusha 2 ; at least that game had pretty good gameplay. Then later I wanted to have a nice F1 game again. So I went to the store. When I opened the F1 2002 (EA) box I was actually awestruck by the fact that this 2002 game comes on CD-rom, not dvd. That was the 1st sign of EA's horrendous product. Then I popped it into my PS2 ! Gawd awefull game I tell ye ! Giving it as a gift to a friend would be an insult. Mind you ppl -> this is the PAL version.

Summary:
Thoroughly enjoyable, with only a few minor complaints, EA has released a polished version that only the hardcore could complain about. Let me state right off, that if your looking for an f1 sim on a console system, this is your choice. But if hardcore is your bag, then stick to the pc, this is after all a 'game' built for a 'game system', not a serious simulation that only a pc could produce. I'm an above average racing buff that prefers a racing genre over any other genre, and I've played numerous racing games through the years to compare with. I also don't claim any particular game or version the "king" either (spare me Grand Prix Legends). So lets begin...

Summary:
F1 2002 Is a great game! But the improvements from F1 2001 are not there! This is a good game to rent for the weekend, but if you want a great F1 game just buy the F1 2001 for $20 dollars less.
