NIS America Atelier Iris-Eternal Mana Roleplaying Review

NIS America Atelier Iris-Eternal Mana

Description
The world of Regallzine, the dwelling place of the Great Spirit, Mana, is comprised of three continents surrounded by a vast sea. Within the world of Regallzine, the Esviore region has been under the rule of King Slaith. However, King Slaith’s ruling powers over South Esviore began to diminish about 100 years ago. Today South Esviore is no longer under the king’s rule. Each city and town in South Esviore rules its own land. Kavoc is the largest of these cities.

Summary:
Nippon Ichi is well-known and respected in Japan, but the developer had been nonexistent in the States for many years. Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana should do enough to change that. The lead character, Klein Keisling, is an alchemist. Or an alchemist-in-training, anyway. He has not mastered his craft, but he intends to do so along a journey that involves the obligatory mad scientist and the obligatory pretty dame. Klein joins up with many humorous characters as he treks the lands of Regallzine, and his enemies are equally whacky. In no way does this game break new ground, but it is a refreshing stroll down memory lane. RPG fans will find much to invest hours into here.
