Summary: Well I played the PC version, and after a few months got off, comp was too slow, then when EQOA came out i waited a few months before i had enough saved up for a router, the modem and EQOA got it, and Wow...different from PC but in a good way, but also in a bad way too. Why its better is 1. the moeny system, now its just tunare no longer goold, plat, silver, copper, *shudders* i hated that system, 2. no lag what so ever, and no need for zoning, yes! now for the Bad. 1. no music at all, at leats EQPC had some tunes, 2. it was alot easier to solo (i dont mind grouping but i'd rather solo sometimes, which is kinda hard now). Other then those faults and pluses, there about equal, i would chose EQOA over EQPC just because i like Console gaming more, but both are great games, and i like EQOA more :). And i Highly suggest everyone try this game, its mind blowing, its awesome, its addicting (first week you'll do nothing else) simply its the best game ever...
Summary: My friend got this game and i played it at his house. It was a ok game, nothing to lose sleep over. I guess for me it was the fact that in order to play the game you have to pay extra money each money cause as far as i know there isn't a offline option. That's pretty poor if you ask me. The game developers have already made enough money off this game for the pc that they didn't have to charge people to play it on the PS2.
Summary: I played the PC version of Everquest first, I liked it and played it for about 6 months then got off...then when I heard of EQ comming to the PS2 I Immeditally thought I was going to get it (I did 3 months later). So once I got it i was addicted for about the first week, then things started going slow, i couldint figure out which class i wanted to be, or race(which there is quite a few) but i eventually decided to go with a Human Paladin (lvl 13, Server: Proud Pine Outpost, Name: Vascot) but getting back to the main idea, the game is a very addecting game, and fun game, but all games have there faults, and this games main fault is it can get pretty BORING, or HARD and FRASTRUATING! It gets boring whe nu spend 2 hours looking for a group, then log off with the great feeling of you accomplishing something (whew) thats also pretty Frastruating, then its hard and frastruating to lvl, you can solo but dont expect a game as easy as if you were too group, but all in all, i think everyone should play this game, and since its $20 why not? something fun to do on a Friday night if u have nothing else to do, or unless that is what u have to do :).
Summary: These guys are right, if you want an unparalelled fantasy experience, buy this game. If you are a game developer, sorry, u wont get any of my money at least for the next year. (ive dedicated that much time at least)
Summary: Let me begin this review by saying this: I am not a PC gamer. Admittedly, I loved Half-Life and TFC and have had some fun with other games on PC, but generally, I prefer to play my games from the comfort of my easy chair, and seeing them on my 32" TV. I WORK on my computer. I don't want to spend hours playing games on it when I'm done. Therefore, I have never played EverQuest on the PC. I had heard of "EverCrack" and it's addictive reputation, but had never played it. I was very excited when I heard that Sony was going to be releasing EverQuest Online Adventures for the PS2. I bought the game the day it was released, came home, and immediately fell deep into the world of Tunaria.
This game is great. It's not perfect. It's not eyepopping graphically, and may not get your blood pumping and rushing as much as some games. BUT, this is a solid, solid RPG and is wonderfully deep and fun to play. And yes, the rumors about the addictive nature of this game are very warrented. This game can and will steal your social life if you let it.
This was my first foray into the world of an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. This is as close to actually existing in a midievil sword and sorcery world as you can get on a console gaming system. You can truly immerse yourself and become your character as much as you desire. You will meet other players galore. Some you will enjoy playing with, some you will never want to see again. This is part of the beauty of the game. There is a whole world full of unique individuals, and this makes the experience of playing EverQuest Online Adventures (EOA) one that is hard to pull away from quickly.
