Description Final Fantasy X-2 is the first true sequel in the renowned Final Fantasy series. Highlighting a cast of returning characters, Final Fantasy X-2 features exciting enhancements such as new and unique job classes, mission based, non-linear gameplay, a quick, dynamic battle system and stunning graphics.
Summary: "This game sucks" "ugh, it's soooo girly!" "The music is horrible!"
Be Quiet. It's American appeal. Exciting action, Beautiful graphics, beautiful women, twists in a story, and lots of bouncing, what more could any country ask for? It's an appealing game! It has a story, no matter what people say, they just mask it with temporary missions and that kind of thing.
Summary: Final Fantasy X2 didn't live up to FFX's name, unfortunately. What troubles me the most is that they picked the most uninteresting character from the FFX series to be the main character: Yuna. They changed almost all of her personality, and conservativeness. Basically she's just a brunette version of Rikku, plus the intelligence on this game. It seems as though Yuna has been influenced by her own little cousin.
I was excited to see that finally Final Fantasy would give some leading roles to more female characters (main characters especially), but once playing this game,I realized it was only meant for fan-boy fantasy pleasure. It seems as though they tried far too hard to act like Charlie's Angels, and I've never seen so much skin in a videogame in my life.(A final fantasy one at least)
These females run around half naked, trying to save Spira. The singing in it was horrible, which is probably why they made Yuna wear a mini-skirt with her cleavage exposed,to drown out sound with sight. If you hear this song “1000 Words”, you will probably go 1000 miles away from your counsel after listening to it.
The game was overall boring and didn't really live up to it's potential, let alone become interesting. I personally think that they focused more on the fan-service than they did with the actual plot. The humor was dry and corny. When someone mentions this game, they just talk about how hot Rikku, Yuna and Paine are, not for a good storyline or anything of the sort. I'm sorry ladies,(YRP) but dressing skimpy doesn't get you far.
I wanted to toss this game out of the window, but I couldn't because it was a Christmas Gift. What a horrible Christmas.
In short, there are better ways to waste your life away. Play something else.
Summary: Overall this game is incredible. Most people dislike the light, care-free air of the game. I for one think it's a much-needed break from the ever-growing darkness of Final Fantasy. All of the games until Final Fantasy X-2 were incredibly serious and dark, with little to no comedy relief at all. The humour in this game is incredibly refreshing, girlish as it may be.
Summary: I don't know what's the fuzz about but I personally think this is a great game. A little spin off from the traditional final fantasy but a great game nonethless. Honestly, the central thing that drives final fantasy is CHARACTER, CHARACTER, CHARACTER. Square has a very sophicated way of portraying their characters in terms of their appearacne and their personality. That is what drives us to play FF series. Great character that you come to like and finally feel a attachment to. Off course, the excellent graphic and gameplay is also crucial factors. Anyway, in term of character development, X-2 did a fantasitc job. Yuna is probably the most well-portrayed female character in the wholes series, that off course is because square used two games to present her. However, Yuna does stand out as one of the most endearing character to me. She's just perfect yet believable. Overall, in X-2, square did a good job to portray their characters yet again, and that already brings 70% of a success for a RPG.
Summary: Well this is a game that i was both looking forward to and worried about at the same time. I though it sounded like a lame idea and that the only reason i would play it is because it has the Final Fantasy name in it. Anyway onto the review. The gameplay is actually better than most in the series with more jumping and also with a very intense yet deep battle system. However i will say that until you master at least one dressphere the game is a bit boring and starts off slow.however from chapter 2 until the end ( well at least at where im at ) the game is awesome although be prepared for a lot of time with no fighting in chapter 4. So basically the gameplay is excellent and in some ways better than FFX. The graphics are basically just the same as the ones in FFX but that dosent mean they suck. In fact if anything they are amazing its just disappointing that there the same as the last game. The sound is cool and annoying at the same time. The music is rather annoying and silly but the voice acting is excellent. As for the story well there isnt much of a story because the games non linear with all kinds of different plots going on. However all the sub plots are interesting.
Good points
Great battle system
Cool characters
Great voice acting
Lots of humour
Non linear gameplay
Bad points
Annoying music
Rehashed graphics
No real story
