Summary:
I didn't buy this game. It was a birthday gift. Had I paid 40 or 50 bucks for this game I would've been very angry. As it is, I am pissed that my brother paid so much for it. The game play is fine, the graphics and sound are fine. What really make me mad is that there are only 11 missions in this game. That's it. Eleven. Someone once told me that if you pay that much money for a game you should get at least 300 hours of gameplay out of it before you beat it. I agree with that assesment. I was just getting into this game and I was done with it. People deserve more for there money. Some games have taken me months to get through. This one took me about 10 days. If you're looking for hurs of enjoyment, look elsewhere.

Summary:
This game by far is one the worst 3rd person shooter games I have played. Not only was I hyped up by the promotions and excited for the game it was a total disaster. I can only hope Conflict Vietnam is nothing like this one. Total EIDOS waste. Stay away from this production line. Rent first and throw away later. Dont waste your money, dont even rent it.

Summary:
This is a fun first person shooter game with plenty of action. The graphics are good and the controls are fairly easy to pick up. I like the fact that you can shoot at anybody or anything and that the game doesn't automatically end your mission if you kiil a civilian. The game immediately drops you into the thick of the action and allows you to work pretty quickly through the first few missions. Gradually the missions get harder and harder and it will take you a few times to figure them out. The graphics are good but the sound effects are just okay. I did notice some sound effects weren't working properly or were delayed. Although I do enjoy the sound effects from the enemy and your fellow soldiers. You have several different weapons options right off the bat and rarely run out of ammo as long as you keep your eyes out for some along the way. The missions are good and get more complex as you go along. One downside is the mission hints. It doesn't really give you too much information which has you running in circles during some missions in order to find out what you are supposed to do next. The over all game experience is good as long as you are into shoot 'em up games with not much strategy involved. There are mission options along they way, but from where I left off they are not too complicated. The weapon reaction is pretty authentic at least as far as accuracy goes. If you are using a cheap Chinese AK-47 for instance, your accuracy from afar is greatly reduced. If you are using the M1 or M16 you can make some more of those long distance kills. As far as the kills, it seems a little harder to kill your enemy the further you are from them. For instance if you are quite a ways down a hill and shoot an enemy, you will have to pretty much take him down 5 times before he finally dies. If you get some head shots in, it will take him down faster. Close range firing will eliminate your enemy immediatly. The game is fun primarily because of the fast gameplay and ease of control. The one downside is that you have a certain path you have to follow, although wide, and there are certain areas off of that path that are off limits. It limits your ability to sneak up through the jungle on your enemy. For you gamers who like to shoot them up without much thought put into it, this game is for you.

Summary:
Shellshock 67 is a game that has orginality but lacks gameplay. Set in Ban Chere valley in they year 1967, shellshock is one of the first vietnam games to appear on the ps2. This alone entitles attention to it, since the concept itself is new to ps2 gamers. But, the hype surrounding this game was a little more tan it was able to live up two. Instead of the realisim promised, Shellshock delivers a watered down version of the war. For example, the in game interaction is limited, as the levels are almost tubular and lack any kind of character freedom. Also the AI is lackluster. The Vietcong are way too dumb, second only to your teammates in the game.
However, Shellshock does hit the bullseye in some areas. The sound effects and music are very good and are perhaps the games greatest feature. Further, the controls are simple and respond properly (unlike so many war games.
All in all, Shellshock is an average to decent game. The real problems arise in the replay value, once you are done, there really is not much else to do. For those intrested in war games, Call of Duty or Medal of Honor series might be the better choice. Shellshock was a great idea, but wasnt developed properly.
