Summary:
First off, I have to be frank and admit that I've only played this game for like 10 hours, and I haven't played it's predecessor, Lethal Skies I, so this review may not be as in-depth as it could've been. However, I'll try to do a fair accessment of this game based on what I've seen so far. BTW, this is my first review, so bear with me...
I have played both the US and Japanese (SIDEWINDER V) versions of this game, and I'd take the Japanese version any day of the week because of the TAMIYA (Japanese hobby/model manufacturer) gallery alone. It's like a Madden card thing where based on your achievement in the game you unlock pictures of model plane boxes. Plus, there's no language barrier here because the game supports both English and Japanese.
Ace Combat 4, being more or less the only worthy competitor in this genre, will be compared to when appropriate.
Overall, this game provides a somewhat different experience from AC4, and it's hard to say which one out-maneuvers the other one.
