Summary:
People who play Socom single player mission have no clue what they are missing if they don't have the online adapter. My review is based solely on the online play cause to me the single player missions is just practice in using your weapons for the real show, the multiplayer online game which is the games real value. If you are into combat and war put your Medal of Honor game away and go get Socom and a broadband adapter. If you don't have a broadband ISP you need to get one.As i write this review Socom 2 is almost on the way.Ifyou haven't played the first socom i recommend picking it up to get the hang of it or you will be at a serious disadvantage in Socom 2 with all the extra additions and playing people who already already have the majority of the game down from playing the first one for over a year. After playing the single player when i first bought the game i didn't even bother with online cause i figured it would be lame just like single player,i stuck to madden online, then i tried it one night,i sucked but i kept at it to get the hang of it,now i am an addict,i have over 150 playstation 2 games and they all collect dust now, even my grand theft auto games aren't enough to get me to take socom out of my PS 2 anymore lol.I told my brother about it and he didn't sound very interested so i bought the game and network adapter for him and now only 2 months after having it all his free time is Socom also lol. There is alot of ugly in this game don't get me wrong.Cheaters online is a problem,as is lag issues, people sometimes lag so bad that on the screen it looks like every bullet hit him and you see blood but he don't die cause hes lagging. But with cheaters and a bad lagging room i simply leave the room and find one with no cheats and that runs fluidly, some get mad but cheaters love that attention so i don't give it to them,i just leave and advise evryone else to leave the room so that the cheater don't get the satisfaction of playing with us.The game is so addictive though that even with the downsides it becoes almost impossible to put this game down. You can't tell by your first time online. You will be horrible like we all are when we start off,you have to keep at it and get better to fully enjoy this game.To date, this is my favorite game ever, and this is not just another person claiming that cause he bought the game tday and its new,its still my favorite game and been at it for nearly a year now.

Price Paid:  $5.00 from Rented

Summary:
SOCOM is a strategy/FPS/3rd Person Shooter. While is is good in some areas, there are some areas that it is not so good. The missions are done well and the things you have to do, but the graphics are not that good and your teammates can act wierd at times and even get you spotted! Its a good game but not a great game.

Summary:
Wow! This game is amazing. I find it funny how some people can actually give this an overall score of 2? This game not only sets the bar for all other military games out there but all games period.
