Summary:
For starters, this game is much better than it has been made out to be. Although it is a nice addition to the EA live series, it should have been better with the power of the ps2. If you like the live series, youll like this game. If you're a fan of the much less realistic 2k series, dont touch this game with a stick

Summary:
NBA live has to be one of the most dissapointing sports titles on the PSX2 so far. Considering this game is coming from one of the best videogame sports companys ever it was suprising to see how bad this game acxtually sucked. I'm just glad I got the chance to play it at my cousins house first before I wasted any of my hard earned money on it.

Summary:
I was acctually looking at all the reviews and thinking to myself that I wasn't going to get this game because it got so many bad reviews. After my best friend told me that this game was GOOD I decided to take his word for it becasue we both have been playing NBA live since the first live came out and we've loved everyone of them. He told me that this was the best live ever. So I took his word on it. BOY was I glad. I thought that this was the best live yet!!! This game is REAL. You have to really work the offense and actually call plays in order to get open looks. In previous live games you could just run down the court and crossover and shoot. This is actually like playing a real live basketball game. The computer is SMART and is not so easily crossed over. You have to really do some fancy finger work for the computer to get lost. And even after that you only have a little while before it recovers!! For those of you that want to just pull up and shoot 3's with 3 people in your face or dunk with 3 dudes in the paint.....this game is not for you. This is a real live basketball game. Maybe those people should try NBA Street....I see that has good reviews...wonder why...For the real hardcore basketball live fans...NBA Live 2001 for the PSX2 is the best yet!!!

Summary:
If the Sony Playstation 2 need a spark, NBA Live 2001 by E.A. has the name and the reputation to do so. Will this 128bit version live up to the NBA Live standard that we all have come to expect from Electronic Arts?

This is a very fun basketball game to play and will get you hooked after a little playing time. Is it the best Live ever? That is a tough question to answer. It's easily the best looking Live you'll ever see, but the gameplay is not as tight as I expected. Nevertheless, all the rest of the goodies are packed within Live 2001.
