Summary:
Kessen II is a great game. You get to control an army led by generals under your control. There are many aspects to the battles such as not letting the enemy destroy your supply compound while trying to destroy his and when to use special attacks such as fireballs and duels. Using these at the right time can win a battle. Magic such as Lightning, Gail, and Fissure are great to watch and have amazing graphics. For those people who want more than just moving armies around and telling them what to do, you can enter battle with a general and attack enemies using a miniature charge attack. I loved this game because of the fun strategy that you must use to win the game, especially on expert mode with Liu Bei. This was hard to figure out how to win but when you figure out just how to position your troops or how to attack the enemy it was not very hard to win the battle. I gave the game a five out of five because there was nothing bad about this game at all and lots good about it.

Summary:
I am new to the most recent game systems and games, having been raised on the early Sega, NES, and Turbographics systems. My favorites were the old RPG type games and i was eagerly waiting to play the new games with all of the improved graphics etc. The problem i have is that, while Kessen II has great graphics the rest of the game leaves much to be desired. Perhaps I'm out of touch with new styles of RPG but to me this is not roleplaying. The computer is doing all of the work and controls the game far too much of the time, limiting the control you have over the game. It is boring, with far too much unnecessary talk/reading of subtitles and/or listening to people whine. If i wanted to do this much reading I'd have bought a book.

Summary:
I think this game is well worth the money and a very good buy. If you are looking for a strategy game, then this is definetely the one. The amazing gameplay, and it does have a reasonable life span as when you have done it with Liu Bei you are able to do it with Cao Cao.

Summary:
Folks who can't wait for a great strategy game to hit the shelves, you should consider adding Kessen II in your gaming library. This game has many features and options that will keep you in the game for a long time. The game revolves around the story. No other modes will be offered to you untill you have beaten the entire game. Because of that, it has a great replay value. Overall, the game is fun to play. It has great looking movies, very detailed graphics and gameplay. For those of who dislike to read the manual, this game includes in-dept tutorial to teach you the basics so you won't feel lost. Not only that, they were able to squeeze massive amount of options and still retain easy to learn controls. Now that's amazing. Well, that's what I thought...

Summary:
I thought that this game is superior then Kessen because this one allows us to control the general. In the game you can cast magic and use special abilities to destroy the enemies. It would have been nice if you went up to slash your opponent they would actually die. This is an excellent game because it involves some strategy. Although this game involves strategy it is not really difficult to bet the game even on hard mode. It would have been nice if we can select the generals and place them in certain units like in Kessen. We should be able to choose were we want our units to be at in the begining of the battles. They also need a mode where we can just fight a battle instead of going trough the whole story mode just to get to our favorite battles. A extra mode and some options of using whatever general and side you want would be great. It can also help with charcter development since some of the generals picked up at the end are fairly weak.
The charcter designs are very good and they seem very comical most of the time. The story is contains more fiction then the novel. I think that the fact that they did not really follow the book made the story very refreshing since it is not a repeat of the ROTK and Dynasty Warriors series. It would have been nice if we could have had control of all three of Zhang Fei's daughters instead of only two but I think that they were suppose to counter the two girls under Yu Jin.
