from EB Summary: That Nibbler who took my Slurm is so boned. If you understand that sentence, then read on. Anyone else, you're missing out on one of the greatest cartoons ever made. This Futurama game has been slapped pretty hard by many "professional" critics. But this wasn't made for them, or the mainstream. Just like the show, this is for the hardcore. No dumbing it down or taking a half hour to explain to newbies who the characters are. Nope, this is for the loyal fans, and it's a great gift I never thought would get made into a game (I assumed their wasn't enough of us out there). The game is a platform with you collecting things and jumping, well, platforms, but that's what a platform game is! If it's not your thing, fine. Go away, play some football. But reviewing how good a platform game this is, I have to tell you, it's good. Slightly above average, but only slightly, in gameplay, the rest of Futurama is a fans dream come true. It's got all the writers and cast from the show and it makes a difference, as this is one of the funniest, most personality driven games ever. You'll explore every aspect of the Futurama world, see all the familiar enemies and hear all the sarcasm from our heroes. This is what a Futurama game should be, an interactive episode of the series. You'll get to play as Fry, Bender, Leela and Dr. Zoidberg through 23 large levels. Yes, it's linear. And it's a little too easy on the Fry levels, but all the extras and the inside jokes make this a platformer no Futurama fan should be without. I know there have been many turds like Simpson's Wrestling, Skateboarding and Road Rage. This is not one of those. This is is a great and challenging game that, after the first five or six levels, turns into a highly difficult game. Not too hard, but enough to challenge seasoned platform gamers. There is one big problem. The camera. It will get stuck on walls and always seem to fight you (you can control it with the right analog stick) and I can see that driving casual gamers away. Yes, the camera's a pain, but no more than Mario Sunshine or any other platformer. Other than Oddworld, can you think of any platform style game that hasn't had a wonky camera since games went 3D? This is no worse. If you've played games before, this isn't that bad. And outside of the camera, this game is all top quality. My overall score is for Futurama fans. If you know nothing about the show or are one of those game snobs who rates games by a demo they played or favors one system and berates another because they can't afford all of them, it's a 3 for you.
