Infogrames Battle Engine Aquila X Box Action Review

Infogrames Battle Engine Aquila

Description
An epic battle rages between the Forseti and the Muspell as the oceans rise and land disappears. The Forseti compel you to help protect their remaining land by taking charge of the ultimate war machine – the Battle Engine. Whether in walking or in flying mode, you have access to an array of destructive weapons and you receive constant direction from base command. By commanding a device so powerful and advanced, your battlefield decisions will shape the direction of each engagement and, ultimately, the entire war.

Price Paid:  $50.00 from Local Game Store

Summary:
Think of Halo meets Mech Assault. This game was a blast. From the time you put it in the X, it rocks. The story while not all that in depth is sufficient. This is one of those fun games the Gaming Mags give subpar rarings to. It's to fun for them or it doesn't innovate enough. Hey what ever happened to making fun games, that are somewhat challanging, look good, and don't frustrate your brain.

Summary:
This is gonna be one of those games that alot of people pass up....what a shame. This is a very enjoyable smooth playing war game. You control this mech-like robot that can walk on land and fly for a short amount of time(you must land on somthing to recharge your energy). You are just a small part in a very large war, with battles going on all around you..very excititng.

Price Paid:  $50.00 from EB

Summary:
This game does a great job of making you feel like you are in a war. Just to watch how your army and the enemies army fight is great. The best way to describe it is that you are one of many gears in a clock. Without you it would not work, but with out your army it wouldn't work either. Don't pass this game, you won't be disappointed!!

Review NaN of 5
, from Lawrenceburg, Indiana

Price Paid:  $50.00 from Electronics Boutique

Summary:
Overall, this game is fantastic! The graphic design of the soldiers could have been a little more detailed and war-like, but they are acceptable. When many enemies are on the scene, some slow down occurs, but is very acceptable. The cut scenes also reflect the need for a little more work. That aside, this game draws you in and makes you feel like you are actually in a large scale battle. The tanks, aircraft, spider-like mechs, pulse guns and soldiers are littering the battlefield and focused on one objective - destroying the enemy. I feel as if they are all depending on me to help them succeed. As a shooter, you get to fly, walk along the ground, fire multiple weapons and use strategy. This game gives you a real sense of "being there" in the midst of war. As a long time realtime strategy game lover, I'd give this game a confident "Two Thumbs Up"!
