Summary:
Although this was a very good game, it hasn't held up very well against other games in the genre such as Splinter Cell and Hitman 2. The story, while originally interesting and intriguing became increasingly bizzare and ridiculous as the game progressed. Also the fact that you had to play through most of the game as the spineless and annoying Raiden was a bit of a bummer, however, in Substance there are bonus 'Snake Tales', missions where you got to play as Solid Snake, the hero of the other Metal Gear Solid games who only plays a minor part in the main game. The bonus VR and Alternative missions are a major plus as the main game itself is quite short and has little replay value. I'm not sure why but this game had a really 'artificial feel to it, something about the guards always responded in the exact same way in every different situation.
But perhaps I'm being too harsh, after all, this game did come out quite a long tinme before this review was written and although it may not sound like it I did quite enjoy playing this game and the extra missions on substance are quite fun to complete.

Summary:
MGS-substance is about an elaborate plot of espionage and death you play as two characters. Snake and raiden throught the game. All and All a good game to play but long and and boring. The game features mild action and some brief partial male nudity

Summary:
A decent port of a great game. I am left wanting for smoother graphics due to the fact that the XBox can (and should) perform better.

Summary:
I rented this game for a week but i only played it for 1 or 2 hours. I never played the mgs series before I played splinter cell. Maybe thats why I didnt like this game. Even if splinter cell rips this game off, it still is a lot more interesting and fun to play.

This Game was very good however I only paid 20 bucks for it so the many draw backs were accepted with the great amount of fun and unique gameplay.
