LucasArts Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 - Outcast X Box Action Review

LucasArts Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 - Outcast

Description
In the tradition of the multi-award-winning Jedi Knight, rebel agent Kyle Katarn returns in exhilarating first-person action. Several years have passed since Kyle avenged his father's death and saved the Valley of the Jedi from Jerec and his band of Dark Jedi. Allowing his Force powers to languish for fear of falling to the dark side, Kyle entrusted his lightsaber to Luke Skywalker, vowing never to use it again. But when a new and menacing threat to the galaxy emerges, Kyle knows he must reclaim his past in order to save his future. Jedi Outcast is being developed in partnership with Activision's critically acclaimed developer Raven Software. Players assume the role of Kyle as they employ a unique mix of weapons, Force powers and your lightsaber in both single- and multiplayer modes.

, from USA

Price Paid:  $30.00 from game giant

Summary:
This game is totally worth buying,if only for the lightsaber combat, which is bomb. The first 7 of 24 levels plays like Medal of Honor with laser blasters, but once you get the saber it becomes a riot. Cant compare to PC games due to lack of customization, but otherwise a great port. With the exception of Halo, there is no other FPS on the xbox with combat AI this good (the dark jedi bots in SP mode are quite deadly). You could even compare this game favorably to halo, albiet without the stellar graphics, but hey....lightsabers just rule. Period.

Summary:
If your like me and you play the single player part of first person shooter games for the console on a rare basis (so I didn't play the original jedi knight), then you should get some fun out of this game. I didn't beat the game but I did get somewhat engrossed in it until after I got the light saber (oops did I ruin the plot of the game for some of you?) at that point I was tired for the time being and the rental was due. After playing this game I might rent it again or buy it, however being the stingy guy I am I probably will do neither, heh. I rate with 3 being average (so its not bad but it wont satisify a hard core gamer) 4 good but not really standing out (going with what has been known to work will give you a 4) and 5 being "woo hoo!" because I dont give out that many 5s.

Price Paid:  $50.00

Summary:
I used to play Dark Forces alot when I was a kid and I played that game alot. I never even watched any of the star wars movies. So playing this game was extremely tedious. I almost hurled a couple times cause of the motion sickness. The character bounces to much when he walks. Horrible on the eyes and stomach. But I saw the movies before I played this and it was all mediocre at best.

Summary:
Overall, the game is GREAT... I wouldn't listen to anyone who says this game's gameplay sucks... especially someone who would pick a game like OBI-WAN over this. I would suggest this game, but I suggest it more for the PC than X-box. I will have to agree, that they did have some glitches they needed to fix.
