Summary:
When I turned the game on i thought 'this sucks' then as I played i hated the game more and more. when I beat the game, shortly there after i thought 'that's it!?!?" This was the worst xbox game I have ever played. As for getting the bonus of playing HOTD2 - who cares? not much of a bonus to get to play an even worse game.

Not a bad game, may seem a little short until you unlock all the goodies such as HOTD2. If you like arcade shooters this is good fun.

Summary:
hotd3 is a stunningly beautiful game with tons of replay value and longevity and fun, provided a few things. First if you buy this game I really believe you need the light gun from mad catz, which is extremely accurate (if calabrated properly to your'e t.v. easy to do just follow instructions and point gun UP CLOSE TO THE T.V. IN THE SPOTS PROVIDED AND SHOOT WHEN PROMPTED!). i've been shooting from the length of the cord and been pin point accurate (whats up gamespot?). Second, be aware that the game is tough and I believe that its options have hurt the game (you can eventually get unlimited lives) . I believe this is where the controversy on the games shortness comes in!. In normal mode you get a set number of lives , but with unlimited lives if you choose to use it you will lose the edge you get, knowing that the game will end when your'e lives are up . Therefore because the game is "on rails" a poor player with unlimited lives can eventually beat the game a LOT easier!. Therefore almost every reciewer has been pissing that they can beet the game in 30 minutes!. With all due respect on normal play with the set # of lives I don't believe the boasts at all!. Nevertheless there is a time attack mode with accuracy rankings, and a full version of hotd2 available when unlocking the game with all the mini games and the hotd movie pre-view!. You will surely spend a lot!!!!!! of time with the game!

Summary:
House Of The Dead 3 is the best console game I've played that you can use with a plastic gun since Duck Hunt for the NES. Actually its the only console game that I've ever played with a plastic gun since Duck Hunt but even so, its still a blast.
You get quite a variety of Zombies to blow away plus some Vultures, Bats, and even a pack of white Rats every now and then.
