Midway The Suffering X Box Action Review

Midway The Suffering

Description
Midway captures the disturbing and terrifying nature of the horror genre with The Suffering, a compelling third-person action/adventure game set in the mature and gritty world of a maximum-security prison. Unleashing the horror throughout nine levels, The Suffering features dynamic lighting that illuminates frightening visions of horror-filled exploration and frantic combat sequences. In the dark world of The Suffering, creatures attack from the shadows and emerge from jail cells, chambers, the ground and trees, surprising you in the most disturbing ways possible. As Torque, you encounter a cast of uniquely hardened criminals, prison guards and grotesque apparitions.

Summary:
The game consists of a dark mood, but works very well as you progress. There are enough interesting points to keep you addicted to this game. This game is not for the faint at heart.

The Story consists of a convict, set in a prison envirornment, that comes along multiple evil spirits and demons along the way of his journey to get off the island, held captive. There are plenty of weapons and and a nice mutant transformation from the main character, that could be innocent or guilty of his crime.

Strengths:
There are quite a bit of intersting and horrifying demons that you will cross paths with. The atmosphere feels like your in a actual nightmare trying to survive it.

Weaknesses:
The game can be a bit repetative of what your mission like, objectives are, kill or be killed type of thing. Its still worth a play if your into the horror movie themes.

Summary:
Ever notice how most horror games are too slow paced when they try to create an effective atmosphere? THE SUFFERING is the most fast-paced and funnest horror game I've ever played, and it never loses track of its tone. Wanna take things slow to absorb the game's grim atmosphere? Wanna run through each room and kill everything just to get to the next room? The main question the game constantly throws at you is which are you most comfortable in: light or dark?
