Summary:
Two riflemen and a sniper were stalking through the densely wooded area of cuba. Their misson: A, avoid capture by enemy forces. B, Destroy enemy SAM inplacement. C, libirate allied Blackhawk pilots from enemy camp. D. Retrieve birds black box. E.Reach extration. Through his scope the sniper saw the SAM. "Objective located" He reported. I was controling the lead rifleman, and using my mini scope swept the area. It was far to hot the enemy presences was more than i could handle alone. So i move my self and fire team alpha up slowly to a place were i could have uninterupted fields of fire then told bravo to turn around and flank the enemy. U see in ghost recon island thunder u have two fire teams alpha and bravo. U control one directly and one indirectly. When bravo was in postion i gave the open fire command and within seconds five enemy soldirs were down. I aimed my socom-2-sd25 semi silenced assault rifle at the enemy sniper and fired three rounds into his head. Bravos demolitions expert fired his man portable LAW 66 anti tank rocket launcher at the enemy SAM and i watched as it blew to bit is a full threehundred meters before me.

Summary:
Ghost Recon: Island Thunder (GR:IT) is on shelves now, boys and girls. This recently released expansion for the Xbox version of Ghost Recon gives us plenty of things to like and a few things that disappoint. GR:IT plays exactly the same as its predecessor, which really isn’t a bad thing since the gameplay in Ghost Recon was intense and fun. On the flip side, though, GR:IT doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. Like in most Clancy games, you’re still popping bad-guys in mass quantity, commanding your teams, and not much beside. All I’m saying is this: if you expect GR:IT to be a sequel to Ghost Recon, your expectations may be dashed into a bloody mangled mess. It’s not a sequel. It is only a modest expansion.

Do not fret, however! There are a few things GR:IT does extremely well.

The expansion gives us a few new weapons but the majority of them you’ll recognize from the original Ghost Recon. GR:IT also includes new maps and this is where the title really does shine. Different locals (including desert and tropical settings) really help to break the monotony of the predecessor’s damp and dreary theater. For those of you who loved the old maps of the original, the best of them are included.

Also included with IT is an 8-mission campaign that takes you through a believable storyline set in a not-so-distant-post-Castro Cuba. You’ll finish the campaign before you’re ready to; these 8 missions seem to fly by a little too quickly. All together I can’t imagine IT took me more than 10 hours to complete on the medium (AKA- veteran) difficulty setting.

Summary:
This is soley a review for the single player campaign and has nothing to do with X-box live. This campaign takes place in the year 2010,Cuba, if they keep this up we wil be fighting klingons soon. They are running out of feasable time periods. There are 6 unlockable characters, all from the previous ghost game. Each has 3 different weapon variations as opposed to 2 from the last version. Some of the new weapons include an M-4; silenced, which sounds rad, an Uzi, Some sort of a machine gun varition that looks WWII'ish, but fires at a very powerful rate. There is a AK-47, not a future modified but the actual, as well as a few modified versions. A grenade launcher as a primary weapon, with 2, 24 round circular clips if you may, which isnt actually fair, it wreaks complete havoc on the enemy. I enjoyed the first ending, this one seems boring, but what can you expect from a 8 mission game.

Summary:
It's pretty much just like the first, only better. This game is really all about the online play. Single player is only required if you want to unlock items, but if you have a megaxkey you can download someone else's saved game. Needless to say I won't be playing the single player missions. The maps are much better this time because the landscapes have more false positives. You know where you see a person but it's really a bush. Also they give sensors to more weapons now, so that's a real plus. When playing teams one person ALWAYS needs to get sensors and drop them for your snipers to hide and kill people. It is missing some elemeents though. Although they improved the online interface with things such as launch game now (instead of waiting for everyone to ready-up). The overall process of finding a game isn't very good. If I want to find a game with explosions on I have to enter a game and check. If it's not on I have to drop out to the main menu and try again. Only Midnight Club II's interface is worse than this one.
