Summary:
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer is one of my favorite shows on TV, and the game lives up to the show in every way. The action and story stays true to the show and includes the voices of most the actors from the show. Sarah Michelle Gellar did not lend her voice, but her voice double sounds EXACTLY like her and its hard to tell the difference.

Summary:
This is a kids game. Plain and simple. Everything from playing in high school maps (not all) to the embarassing, adolescent remarks of the character.
they must have intentionally made her to sound like a little....well, "C" word, and I don't mean count!
I've never watched the TV show, so I don't have a groupie fetish with the title. I accept the game for what it is....no more.
If you like fighting in a 3rd person view with rakes and floor mops...then this game is for you! Let's not forget the almighty stake! WOW, what fun.....NOT!
The moves your character has are smooth and the framerate is consistant, but after the first 1/2 hour you've already seen most of them and it gets unbelieveably .....BOREING.
The bad guys models were very well crafted and some of them were really kool looking. I think that's the real shame of this game, so much could have been done with it but wasn't.
This is a pretty game with smooth graphics but WAY too much repetition. Underline way too much.
This is a game rated "T"een. I suggest to you that it is meant for "T"eens.
I guess I'm showing my years, but every time I see another one of those bad high school, teenie attempts at a horror film, I want to YAK!
That goes for teenie games as well.

Summary:
Overall this is a great game and lots of fun. there are saves along the way at regular intervals which definitly lowers the frustratiohn level. If you are a fan of the TV show this is a must play. It's full of
buffy-esque charm and campiness. A totally great time awaits here with enough challenge to last awhile.

Summary:
"I want you, darlin'... But not in a good way"
***********************************************
This game was highly anticipated when it appeared on the xbox, largely because there was so little available on Microsoft's mean machine at the time of her arrival. There were a large number of people, myself included, that were banking on this game being the next reason to own an xbox.

When it hit the shelves, it was greeted with extremely mixed reviews; it seemed that either people loved Buffy or hated her. Since it obviously wasn't the 'xbox killer app' that it was hyped up to be, I passed it up until recently.

I guess the cleanest, easiest way to sum Buffy up is by calling it a 3rd person beat-em-up with adventure elements. In tagging it so, though, you completely strip it of any dignity and personality that they game has. I would call Buffy: The Vampire Slayer (btvs) a quirky game. It aims to do quite a bit and only fails on a few levels. I'll touch on this in the gameplay section.

The main aim for BTVS that I recongnize is the combonation of Tomb Raider, Max Payne, and Final Fight. Think of yourself as a kung-fu Laura Croft with flashy slow-mo moves and you get a good idea how the basic gameplay mechanics work.

So the question that I have to answer now, before I finish the summary is this: does the good outweigh the bad in BTVS? I'll give that a pretty strong yes answer.

4 out of 5
Have realistic expectations while you play. Definately rent Buffy first since no two people can agree on this title.
