Description Enter the realm of a retired assassin, forced back into action by treason. You may be a hired killer but you still have a sense of loyalty and justice. Visit the dark recesses of a world corrupted by crime, greed, degradation and dishonor. And a past that catches up with you.
Summary: HitMan 2:Silent Assassins,is a 3rd person action/adventure with elements of stealth. The story follows a no name assassin that goes by agent 47.
You are hired by differnt people (I.E. Rich men,Drug lords ect) too kill their enamys. You will fight, sneak and kill your way thru many levels full of trigger happy hench men, useing a heap of weapons (I.E. Sniper rifle,Knifes,Shot guns ect) to finish them off.
Strengths: Simple game play.
Levels are eazy too get around, not alot of "puzzles" to hold you up.
Weaknesses: Bulky controll setup, not eazy to "stay alive".
A.I. is "dumb",at times thru out the game, the enamy (I.E A.I.) will stand and look at you,w/o fireing a shot.
Summary: Great game! All of you who wrote negative reviews shouldn't have wasted your time with video games because this is by far the best shooter i have played on xbox aside from Halo.
Summary: I won't waste time and space describing this game as so many others have in their reviews. I wanted to write this review to cast my vote and say that this is one of the best games ever put out. I feel the need to say this because I am so completely tired of seeing reviews for games that say something to the effect of, "gameplay was excellent but the graphics and sound were not so great so the game stinks." Or, conversely, "This game is soooo beautiful and the cut-scenes are amazing. Nevermind that you can't control your character, this game is great." To me, this completely misses the point which is how does it play? I mean the XFL had innovative camera angles and cool looking uniforms but the game SUCKED. The whole criteria for reviewing games is wrong. At most sites (although not this one thankfully) and in seemingly most peoples minds, a game's overall score is determined by an average of scores for the categories of gameplay, graphics, and sound. In this paradigm, the soundtrack for a game has equal importance to gameplay. Nevermind that sound is largely unimportant; it is a single criteria whereas gameplay actually encompasses a multitude of criteria such as the controler set-up, camera control, weapons/devices operation and control, environmental interaction, save point systems, character control and modification, enemy AI, enemy and character hit points, level design, mission structure, and on and on. In the end, the graphics and sound are really only very small elements of the game. And if the gameplay is excellent and immersive, it stands to reason that the graphics and sound must have been adequate to allow for this level of enjoyment. If you just want something to look and sound good, go rent a movie.
This is why Hitman 2 is such a truly outstanding game. The player is given almost absolute control throughout the game. The controls are tight and accurate. The player can control not only the camera but even the perspective switching between 1st and 3rd person as they see fit. The weapons are outstanding and varied. The missions are terrific and replay value is very high. My only complaint is that there weren't 100 more missions so I could keep playing this game for years.
Summary: Hitman2 is a stealth game much like splinter cell. However, stealth in this game relies more on not looking suspiceous than hiding in the shadows. Splinter Cell was my favorite game and probably still is. However, I'm experiencing the same level of satisfaction in Hitman2 and in many respects I like Hitman 2 better.
In Hitman2, you'll take peoples clothes to blend in, walk instead of run when you're around people or you'll give yourself away, sneak up behind people and use stealth weapons like a silencer and fiber wire to slit their throats, you'll have to be careful of how you look to people in other respects like carrying weapons, some of which you can't hide, you need to be warry of metal detectors, camera and alarms. And that's just some of the different tactics that can be used.
The gun play is better in Hitman 2 than in Splinter Cell. I'm often rated as a "mass-murderer" at the end of my levels because when it comes to escaping there are great gun battles that are along the lines of any great FPS. The Halo type of controls are tight in this game once you get use to them.
As with Splinter Cell, you need to complete the first couple of missions and you'll be hooked. Just do whatever it takes to complete them so you can learn the feel of the game. Completing each completed level feels great and is mememorable. I'm almost tempted to say I like this game better than Splinter Cell because that wouldn't be a stretch. The atmosphere in the game is just awsome.
The "save" feature in this game is second to none. You can save anywhere you want unlike in Splinter Cell, but you're given a limited number of times you can save per level (usually 7), which required the wise use of them. You can also get bonus save by performing well.

Summary: Momma Lucia! After that last review I had to write one for this game also. I agree with the previous post concerning the review of games in magazines and many websites that are advertiser and sales motivated. They lie to you and hype lousey games which I have made mention of too many times on this site. I know his frustration with many reviewers on this site that post WAY TOO HIGH scores for poor games and I myself always look at the low score posts first. I don't remember how HitMan2 was promoted as far as graphics but the TV ads clearly showed the game in action so there shouldn't have much of a surprise to folks in that respect. I myself am a stickler for graphics and I will tell you that HM2 is not a great game in that department. I will tell you that HM2 is way, I MEAN WAY more fun to play than the over hyped Splinter Cell. Yea, SC has great graphics but the game stinks BAD. Given the option of choosing a game that looks pretty or one that plays to entertain and SC goes to the dumper. I don't think it was a secret that HM2 was a cross console title so there it is. My angry friend is correct that we must demand more of these game developers and that begins here with our reviews of these games. Be honest with your reviews and resist your temptation to overlook shortcomings in a game because you liked it for a perticular reason. Not everyone has the same likes or dislikes, that's why clearheaded and objective thought is required when reviewing. Truth is truth and there can be no debate or confusion about that. Instead of posting your opinion, think of it as posting your perception. Post exactly what you saw not what you liked. Or at least preface you opinions as such and make the distinction. This is a very important site that is provided for us. We should support it as best we can. One thing I would suggest to V/G Review.com is to put a block below the discuss sound area for the reviewer to post games they like and dislike. Then if the reviewer say's he liked Stuntman....I know not to pay him any mind.
Hitman 2 is a game with graphics that could be better, but my "perception" is that the game worked well. I have no problem with the graphics but I do wish they would have been better to blow that stupid Splinter Cell away. The gameplay does. If you don't go into it expecting SC or Halo graphics then you won't be disappointed. If a game gives me entertainment, I got my money's worth. Part of that entertainment is looking at and interacting with a beautiful environment. If a game is lacking somewhat in visual beauty but keeps me entertained, how much better must that gameplay be? HM2 did that for me. Bottom line.
