Hardest game I've played in years. This one is a good old fashioned arcade beat 'em up based on the (dare I say it?) greatest movie ever made. The game follows three separate paths for Gandalf, Aragorn, and Frodo that you can play in any order you choose. You bust endless combos into an endless army of orcs and such and it never gets old. Normally I tire quickly of games where you have to repeat the entire level when you die because I get so bored of the same old level where I die at the last part and have to start over (Tomb Raider anyone?). But this game somehow keeps it fresh. Maybe it's the ability to level up your character and purchase new skills for each warrior, or the entire fellowship if you choose, that keeps me striving to get to the next level (I love RPG's). Or maybe it's the eye-popping graphics or the brilliant in-game dialogue. Whatever it is, this game is a must-have for LOTR fans. Report this review >>
