Kemco Batman - Dark Tomorrow

Description
Explosions echo throughout the mean streets of Gotham as rival gangs battle for control of the city. Anarchy reigns supreme with the sudden disappearance of Police Commissioner James Gordan and the lockdown of Arkham Asylum, home for the criminally insane. By using all of his skills, both mental and physical, as well as a variety of gadgets, Batman must stop the gang war, infiltrate Arkham Asylum, and rescue the Commissioner. During this time, Batman must also piece together clues to discover the mastermind behind these seemingly unrelated events and stop an evil plan that threatens the fate of the entire world!

Summary:
This game has received a lot of unnecessary crap. The truth is that this is the best Batman game to date, better than Vengeance and all movie related games. It has scores of great fight situations with serious villains from the comic. Before I got this game I was looking around for online reviews, and most of them trashed Dark Tomorrow, but there was always a few that rated it with top marks. Even when I went to by this game the video-clerk told me it was the worst game ever. Maybe it's because the game was postponed so many times and they were expecting too much. But the only downside to this game is that starts a bit slow. And of course, there are some programming glitches in terms of control and I could see how that might upset the game-shop crowd. I bought the game a month ago and after having already beaten it, I'm playing it again because the Arkham Asylum level is so well done.

Man, If this game was only Splinter Cell clothed in the Batman World. Awesome. That's what it coulda, woulda, shoulda been, but fails atrociously on all counts.

Price Paid:  $6.00 from Blockbuster Video

Summary:
I RENTED this game at my local Blockbuster Video. HOLY CRAP! THIS GAME IS HORRIBLE. I should sue Kemco for wasting 15mins of my life to play this utter garbage. Who made this game? 16year old programmers? Does Kemco Actually think people are going to buy this game? Did Kemco actually play this piece of crap? ANYWAYS, I WENT BACK to BLOCKBUSTER and demanded my money back - I spoke to the manager and he allowed me to exchange the game for another. He told me that other people said the same thing and that one customer's kid started to cry when he saw Batman running like a Developmentally-Challenged person in the special olympics.

From the minimal online reviews I've just read, it appears you Never Even FIGHT MAJOR BOSS CHARACTERS!!! LOL You fight Some tree's and then you see a cutscene of Batman beating Poison Ivy.... You fight some thugs and then you see a cutscene of Batman beating the Joker. HOW CAN YOU have a BATMAN game and not be able to fight the JOKER? HELLO!

Summary:
You have got to be kidding me with this game. What were the programmers thinking when they were playing this game. That's it cool, fun, and exciting. The programmers for this game seem to have the intelligence to make a game but they lack creativy and the knowledge of how a game should play. I mean oh my god, I think I could make a better Batman game in 2D using Macromedia Flash MX software.(I'm exagerrating) The only thing that is done right in this game is the cutscene, and the dark & gritty atmosphere it has. You don't have to play this game for for an hour to realize how bad it is, all it takes is 15 minutes. I feel awfully bad for people who bought this game for $50 especially for parents buying this game for their kids. If your a parent thinking about buying this game for your kids don't buy it, they deserve better. Its a shame cause Batman is an awesome character and he doesn't deserve to be put to shame. Batman Dark Tommorrow shoud've have been made to look, feel, and play like Splinter Cell using light effects for stealth and other gameplay aspects.

"Holy Horse Shoes Batman"! Your game sucks big time.

Price Paid:  $50.00 from Target

Summary:
Regardless of your gaming platform (X Box, PS2, or GC), chalk up another failed attempt at bringing Batman to justice in the gaming community.

I highly anticipated the arrival of this game. After becoming frustrated with Batman Vengeance and Superman Man of Steel, I thought this could eclipse those sub-par attempts. Apparently, I was hoping for too much.

I've played this game for 15 minutes before shutting it off in disappointment. There really isn't much I can say for this game. I was expecting a Splinter Cell-type of Batman game using stealth, cunning, and amazing fight moves. What I got was swinging on rooftops with bad camera angles, running into thugs where the camera angle was so far from the action I had no idea what was going on, and getting shot because the camera view was no where near Batman.

This game compares with the pathetic-ness of Superman Man of Steel. What a bummer. All the hype and previews were misleading. I'm not sure what these "previewers" were playing, but I'm convinced it wasn't this game. I'm already going to trade it in for Indiana Jones with the hope that game isn't as bad. To be honest (and opinionated), Batman Vengeance was actually better if that gives you any indication of this newest installment.

This game is going to disappoint many more people than it appeases. If anything, wait a week or two and I know you'll find this game used because of people like me who made an impulse buy with the best of hopes. Listen to the others here who have expressed similar findings.

With any luck, Wolverine's Revenge will make-up for this lackluster game.
