Summary:
Overall, this is by far the worst game I have ever played. I wouldn't come close to comparing this game with all the other survivor horror games on the market, mainly because its based on a movie. Don't expect much from games that have to do with movies, comic books, and tv shows. I've never see the computer cheat some much, and an AI so dumb. You already don't have many options, and when I need help, I have to call everyone else for tips, look on the internet, or pay almost twenty dollars on a strategy guide. There are too many things going on, like babysitting your squadmates and just the sloppiness of the whole game spoils it. After playing this game, I'm glad that it was given to me.

Summary:
Great atmosphere frustrating controls and gameplay.
I am getting sick of games that do not let you configure the controls the way you would like them. It makes me want to go back to the PC. If I want to use The left and right thumbsticks for movement and the triggers for (duh) triggers than I should be able to. With this game each of the preset configurations is just not what I had in mind. After trying to get used to the default config (in this config the trigger are triggers, cool) I just could get used to it. I then tried the one which moves more like a traditional FPS, but you had to take your hand off the thumbsticks to shoot because now the Triggers were no longer triggers. Ahhhhhh!

, from Phila.Pa

Price Paid:  $25.00 from EB games

Summary:
This game is TERRIBLE!
Where are the weapons? With the awful targeting system and weapons cycling setup along with the absolutely pathetic weapons provided, you'd be better off throwing snowballs at the "things".
Where is the ammo? Where is the flamethrower fuel?
Why am I continually running around with near empty weapons?
Why do I have to go thru the main menu to restart after I get killed (or burn myself up because the flamethrower aiming (as well as use) being near worthless?
Why don't I have a visable health meter on the screen all the time?
Why do "things" appear out of nowhere?
Why did I buy this lousey "game"?
AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Price Paid:  $20.00

Summary:
I've heard a lot of people hype this game up and after buying it at a great price, I'm trying to figure out why. I got the game, the original DVD of "The Thing", and a T-Shirt for $19.99. I definitely can't argue with the price, but there's nothing overly impressive about this title. I guess a lot of people are hooked by all of the cussing and gore. Btw, why is the only quote on the box promoting the game from John Carpenter? Since when is he any kind of authority on gaming???
