Summary:
Monopoly Party is exactly what it claims to be. One part party and one part Monopoly. The game is not pushing the x-box nor is it redefining the genre. However, it is a fun way to play monopoly. The game also is educational. How, you ask? I'm glad you asked. It does this parent's heart good to see his nine and twelve year old wheeling and dealing and making bids. This game requires and sharpens math skills. (Just like the board game) Long story short....if you like monopoly you will like this game. If you hate monopoly....well you get the picture.

Monopoly Party is perfect for - you guessed it - PARTIES! It's a fantastic transition from a static board on your coffee-table to a 3-D breathing environment on your TV screen. The nights of 3+ hr games are over because when you are using the "Party" rules, all players move at once! The result: you can now squeeze 3 or 4 games in the same amount of time you used to play one in :) A must have for anyone who has friends who love to have a little clean family fun!

Summary:
In a nutshell, if you like or love monopoly, you will like thia game. It plays EXACTLY like the classic monopoly board game, and you can customize the rules. Such as? You can wina jackpot if you land on free parking, you can trade properties, sell to other players, mortgage, put an odd number of houses on the same color property. I remember the old version of this video game, whereas if you landed on a property, and you didnt want it...it automatically goes up for auction. Well you can have that or you can turn option off. Nothing really bad about this game at all. Even the themes of the game is pretty darn cool also.
Dont read into these websites like IGN that only give it a 4.7 , that just goes to show you that they dont like board games.
