Description Codemasters is promising the most immersive racing experience ever by enveloping gamers in the heart of a global racing championship with the announcement of Pro Race Driver. Retaining the series' core values of close-contact racing with real cars, real teams, real track, real drivers and an astounding damage engine, Pro Race Driver introduces a character-based narrative and episodic storyline. The game blends real world global championships with a fictional cast.

Summary: Race driver (V8 supercars in australia) is a Good game for those who want a story line , masses of cars(42)/teams , huge amounts of tracks (38 licensed) and many views , including an in car one (thats only really playable on the first and sometimes second tier). progression through the various championships gives you the feel that theres a real need to do your best , though in the begining all that might be needed is to beat a certain team , the tracks are well constructed ,though detail seems a little low . If you want something slightly different in a racing game , or your a fan of them , then you might want to pick this up. but for those who arent too keen on racing games in general . or just not too fussed. you might find this a little too flawed for your tastes. But for australians or V8 supercar fans , i hope you just dont buy it for the fact that you can drive a commodore or falcon. becuase that really isnt that big a part of the game.
Summary: I buy every racing game out there, both for Xbox and the PS2. This game is truly unique and a very good game. I was hesitant at first after reading the PS2 reviews. But, I finally broke down and am glad I did. Great Game....
Summary: This is an excellent racing game that will bring hours of enjoyment. Outstanding graphics, very good sound, great gameplay.
The storyline that is included is useful in making you feel like you're driving for a team. They do include cut scenes with adult themes and some profanity. Moms and Dads should check this out before letting their kids play if they care about that sort of thing.

Summary: I thought I would put a quick post on here about my initial impressions of Pro Race Driver (PRD). I will put a more in depth review on here probably tomorrow afternoon after I have another 12 hours of game play on it first. Race Realism: I have watched and attended races from everything from IndyCars, Winston Cup, Formula One, Trans-AM, SportCars, IMSA, just about everything since the early 80s so I have enough knowledge about racing to judge if the racing is realistic. There is nothing that dooms a racing game then professional game reviewers that don't know anything about racing and then says the control of a particular racing game sucks and give the game a bad score. Hello.. racing is not easy. It is suppose to be tough, and you are suppose to be accurate, precise, and make use of good racing lines to excel at it. If you are only into arcade type of racing games don't get this one because it will frustrate you. In racing you have to remember that you have to break and slow down before your turn. If you are braking while turning and you lock up the brakes then you will go off. Only in arcade racers can you break while turning in and not suffer the consequences. Also remember that if you jump on the brakes you WILL lock up. If you slowly apply pressure to your breaks they won't be so prone to locking up. I love PRD because so far they seem to have this right... you can't slam on the brakes.. you have to adjust break pressure and apply then smoothly. I also love it that PRD got drafting right in this game. If you follow somebody down the straight you will pick up 3-5 miles per hour and use it to pass somebody by. Most games don't have you pick up speed when directly behind somebody.
