Summary:
Now that I've traded this title away, I can chime in with my two cents. I'm glad it's off my hands, let me say that. Disappointing from the moment I fired it up. Have you ever played a racing title where it felt like your car and the environment were existing on two different planes? Well, that's what's going on with this one. In Project Gotham and Rallisport Challenge, you feel like your car is bumping and bouncing over the track. With Test Drive, it just feels lousy. Has to be experienced to convey the problem properly. Unlike most games, this one would be as effective as Tylenol PM for putting you to sleep. Normally games amp you up late at night to the point that you can't sleep, but no worries with this one.

Maybe I ruined my chances for enjoying other titles by first purchasing Project Gotham and Rallisport Challenge. A lot of people bag on Wreckless, but that game is light years ahead of this one.

Summary:
Street racing with indestructable cars in traffic, along with hot pursuits. Underground mode places you in the role of a character racing in an underground race club. I haven't played all the missions, but I get the impression that it's strictly racing with no fun off beat missions like many other driving games.

Summary:
i thought the game really sucked in the beggining. i stopped playing it for about a month. one really boring day came up during my summer vacation and i decided to give it a try again. i got past san francisco and everything from there on was great. the drag races are easy and you get to race one on one with other racers for pink slips. it is very satisfying when you unlock more cars. i also like how each car's performance is listed(horsepower and 0-60 time).

Price Paid:  $5.00 from blockbuster rental

Summary:
Test Drive is yet another arcade-style racing game available on the Xbox. While the game can be enjoyable at times, there is much that it fails to do any better than racing titles that have long been available for the Xbox.

The story line is equivolent to a standard Nicholas Cage movie; canned, predictable, unimaginative... You get the idea.
