Price Paid:  $20.00 from Block Buster

Summary:
This is much like Diablo 2. It's nothing like the PC version of Balder's Gate, which I hated anyway, so that's a good thing. This is strickly hack n slash. The character development isn't as good as Diablo2's is, and Dark Aliance is much more linier.

This game seems very cool for a couple of hours, but the enthusiasm quickly dies off. You'll find better weapons and armor to use throughout the game which is nice, but the enemies level's increase at about the same rate as your character's does, so the game always feels the same.

Summary:
Worth it if you are, or were ever a D&D fan, or even if you were curious what D&D was all about. Otherwise...you might be taking your chances.
For what it is, Baldur's Gate is a good, solid but not great, game. The developers did a beautiful job recreating the fantasy of D&D and incorporating the rules of the game in an electronic format. Heck, they did such a good job that nobody had to tell me what I was looking at when Bullette popped out of the ground next to me!

Summary:
Got it for $10 from BestBuy.....well worth it. While this game isn't spectacular, it's well worth $10.....even $20. I hesitate to call it an RPG...it really isn't. This is a hack and slach game with RPG elements thrown in. I don't like Hack and slash games...but this one is different. It's interesting, and the RPG elements keep me playing. This game came in under the radar, and is still a sleeper hit. Go buy it.

Summary:
I got this game for $9.99 at Best Buy early this week. I've been playing it all week this game is really addictive and alot of fun. There are 3 characters, and one secret character, to beat the game with. I would say it takes about 8-15 hours to beat the game with each character. So you are lookin at 40 hours of play to beat the game with all characters.
