Activision Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 X Box Sports Review

Activision Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4

Description
The world's best skateboarding game reinvents itself to give you the real life experiences of a hardened amateur skater. A completely new career mode with a Go Pro theme compliments the same elements that have made THPS a phenomenon. Claw your way up through the amateur ranks to prove yourelf in the world of professional skating.

Summary:
Overall this game is the best one besides Tony Hawk Underground. It has totaly everything you need in a skateboarding game. But just as a sidenote, the Tony hawk series seems to not only be for people who skateboard, its also for people who dont, and posers(I dont know which category they belong in so ill just give them their own). Its strange how people can't get bored with 4 of these but think that two GTA's was going overboard.

Price Paid:  $20.00 from GameStop (Formerly B

Summary:
PROS: The Gameplay feels the same except for some new tricks and you don't need a Memory Card on this, since you have a hard drive, and you can import your own music! How about some new Rap, or even some Techno music!?
CONS: The Park Editor...LACKLUSTER!!!

OVERALL SUMMARY: This game is the furth succesful installment of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, and it just does not get old to me. But this time, things are different. Instead of getting you in to a time limit to complete goals, you are put in a gigantic level where you are to talk to people to obtain goals. This allows more freedom for players in case if they want to accept the goal, or decline to go into another player. However, you do need to complete goals to advance. You have to complete 8 goals each to unlock another level.

The cash concept is back. You buy extra goodies, movies, and music with the cash.

You have the create-a-skater option, where you can create anything from a regular white person, to a frenzy mohawk dark-skin person. You also have a Park-editor.

But the Park Editor is what upsets me. This is the reason where I had to take one point off the OVERALL value. It's the same park editor that you get on the PS2 Tony Hawk 3. Come on, This is an X-Box! I want to create huge parks, even put letters in, as well as putting in people in the game for my own goals.

But otherwise, it's another successer in the Tony Hawk chapter. Hope for those improvements when Activision releases Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 6, after Tony Hawk's underground!

Summary:
I think this game is made for nonskaters so it will sell. I have been skating for 7 years and I am still waiting for a game to capture the feel of skateboarding. I think the closest game was Thrasher. The first time I played Tony Hawk was on a demo a few years ago. That demo was the only game I played for months. Now the Tony Hawk series isnt that great to me anymore. I know a lot of skaters (mainly posers) like this game, but my opinion is that it's not that great.

Price Paid:  $50.00 from Future Shop

Summary:
This game first of all is just WICKED!! It's the best game out of the Tony Hawk series. Unlike in the other series where you have a time limit. In this one, you go talk to people, then they give you challenges to do and from there, you get the time limit. The only thing I dislike is that you get only around 10 levels on this game. For a Tony Hawk fan like me, I expected 20-30 levels. If you really like Tony Hawk pro skater and if you've got good control of the xbox controller, this is the game waiting for you to BUY!
