from EB Games Summary: Unless you're one of the 10% of XBox owners who subscribe to Live and you're intent on rally racing online, CMR05 doesn't really doesn't offer much in the way of new content to justify getting it for the original purchase price. But if you're into rally racing games and can find it in the discount bin, it's worth grabbing. On the good side, the career segment of the game has been made a bit more user-friendly, the graphics are as always pretty decent, Nicky Grists' pace notes continue to be exemplary, and the sim aspects of the game remain as close to real-life as you'll find in a racing title. On the bad side, the racing action continues to be sabotaged by the mandatory inclusion of "legacy" events where the vehicle handling is so awful CMR05 comes across more like a Hovercraft sim than a car racing game. Many stages and rallies continue to be arbitrarily difficult and frustrating, and require grinding thru attempt after attempt after attempt until you can eke out enough placement points to unlock the next series of races.
