Summary:
The game speaks for itself "Ultimate Racing Simulator" basically that's what it is the ULTIMATE in racing. This is the most entertaining racing sim I have ever played better than NASCAR Thunder,PGR2 you name it,sure these games and many others look very good and often shiny but dont come close to the many options and entertainment TRD2 offers.Lets talk about options: 15 types of racing including Rally (sorry RalliSport Challenge 2)Oh the cars?"FORGET ABOUT IT" everything from Land Rovers,Ford Trucks,Rigs,Formula cars,Classic cars,Hot Rods and the list goes on! ALSO 50 Racing Tracks!!! this is the 1 go get it!!

Price Paid:  $30.00 from EB Games

Summary:
TOCA 2 is an effort to provide X-Box owners with a varied racing game that represents a happy medium between the arcade-style racing of a Need for Speed or Apex, and the type of strict racing sim games that Papyrus used to release for PC. Unfortunately it falls short: tracks and cars are made available in Simulation mode only by progressing thru Career mode, which Codemasters has deliberately made absurdly difficult in order to earn extra revenue via selling cheat codes. My advice is, wait till the price drops to $20 or less and use the cheats --- whether you call Codemasters to get them on the phone at $1.99 per minute, sign up at their website and get them for $5, or hope someone can program a random cheat generator and release it on the web (as for Pro Race Driver 1) --- to unlock all the cars and tracks in the Simulation mode. This is where TOCA 2 really shines, it's just a shame you have to jump hoops just to get there.
