Summary:
I know this review is hella late but I got Madden 2002 last year, right after the NFL season was over and then got into playing Sega's World Series Baseball and only got back into Madden 2002 three weeks ago (in preperation for the upcoming season) but I gotta say this game rocks and the XBOX 2002 edition looks better than the Playstation 2 2003 edition!

Summary:
Whether you like Madden '02 or NFL 2K2 I've not played NFL Fever) depends totally on the type of gameplay you enjoy. Me? I like the more arcadey type play, because in my opinion among the current crop of football titles the so-called arcadey gameplay is to me a bit closer to realism then Madden's momentum based gameplay. It is the nuances added to the game that give Madden a deep feel to it. Madden definitely leads the competition on those small little game additions. The Madden challenges and cards are cool features. Also pulling back the left trigger displaying the play directly on the field is nice also. Overall, though, the action on the field is where it counts and this is where Madden lags a little.
