Summary:
I've been playing Madden since 1996 and there has never been a better release. I don't understand the low review scores, but this installment is the most exciting and rewarding release of this franchise to date. Take the time to learn the many features which make this game stand out from the rest, and you will be rewarded with a realistic sports gaming experience second to none!

Summary:
I got this game for christmas. It's an awsome game, however if you're coming off of the 2k3 series then it will take some time to get used to. This game is very realistic. It is better than ESPN NFL 2k4. 2k4 is too easy, such as the running game. Also, when you create a player, you create EVERY aspect of him. You can edit everything from his tattoos and haircut to how muscular he is. You can have him very weak but still look like he's jacked on steroids. Also, you create every attribute about him. Example, when creating a qb, it lets you decide how he can block, catch the ball and such. However, they do not affect his overall rating.

Summary:
Extremely disapointed. Not much has changed from 2003 that would make me a satisfied customer. Still the same numerous flaws in the gameplay that drives me nuts.

Summary:
Wow! That's Madden NFL 2004 in a nutshell. This game has so much. New in 2004 theres owner mode which allows you to design a new stadium, manage prices of concessions, salaries, and ticketing, and you can coach your own team. The training camp feature is also great for those who havent played Madden before. The playbooks are awesome with very accurate plays. I was shocked at the possibilites there are for this game in all aspects.

Summary:
Bought this game the day it came out. Last few years I have been a follower of the Sega NFL 2k series. Decided to try Madden this year because last years NFL 2k3 was a damn buggy game, way too many bugs for my taste. What do I like about this game?..gameplay is fairly good and control is solid. Players feel a bit like they are skating across the field, but overall control is good. I have not owned another Madden on my xbox, and don't own a Ps2 so I can't compare this to other Madden titles for these systems. Presentation is done very nicely which is a plus. Being able to creat a team is very cool,, and being able to move a franchise to another city is even better. Game cheats like all hell on tougher difficulty settings ie; makes you fumble 5 times in a quarter etc. This really pisses me off when it comes to next gen sports titles. Companys are using the same AI for all difficulty settings and then just increasing fumbles, interceptions etc to make the game "harder", and Madden really cheats more than most games I've seen...very frustrating! All in all I think this game is a good game, but If you are going to buy 1 Pro Football game I would recommend ESPN NFL Football over Madden all day (not going to review that title here, did that on its thread). I'm sure die hard Madden followers (I used to be on myself) will like this game and scoff at ESPN's wonderful offering, but those willing to try something different will see the light. Madden is certainly not a "bad" game, as its deficiencies only become apparent when you see a better product (ESPN Football), and even then Madden still isn't a bad game, its just not the best game of football on the market. Ill keep my Madden and play it from time to time for a change of pace.
