Description Ah yeah, your game just got bigger. The streets have been swept and a whole new ballgame is coming to town. Take your skillz to a new level and challenge the greatest basketball icons to ever play the game, from the baddest old school legends to the hottest players of today. Feel the dominance of Wilt Chamberlain and Shaquille O?Neal. Soar above the rim with Dr. J and Michael Jordan. Run the show like Magic and Pistol Pete. That?s right this is your chance to defeat the best the street has to offer with all-new dunks, passes, dribbles, and special moves. Enter the most real urban worlds ever created and begin your journey to become a street legend. NBA STREET Vol. 2 is the must-have sequel of 2003.
Summary: Despite the fact that I own Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and the GTA Double Pack among other great titles, this is by far the greatest Xbox game I own. NBA Street Volume 2 puts you in exciting over-the-rim gameplay on America's most infamous outdoor basketball courts(and one indoor court, Lincoln College in L.A. as well). You play 3 on 3 ball with either the players of today or some of the greatest of all-time such as: Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, George Gervin, "Pistol" Pete Maravich, Jordan from 85,96, and the Wizard Jordan just to name a few. This game is a steal for $20 as a Platinum Hit and you can get it on eBay for even less. Would I recommend this game? There aren't enough letters in the word "yes" to fully describe my answer.
Summary: EA Sports should be proud; I can’t sit down at my Xbox without playing a little NBA Street Vol. 2 first. I’ve completed the entire “Be A Legend” game mode with a 48-0 record and I would still rather spend an hour at Rucker Park in Harlem blocking, dunking over, and stealing from Jordan, Iverson, and Shaq than start up any of the half dozen unfinished games I own.
The immersion into this game begins when you create your own player, deepens once you develop your custom team, and you continue to sink further and further with every amazing dunk you master, each new trick that trips up your defender faster, and after every NBA trio you topple.
Live I’ve had such a great time playing NBA Street Vol. 2, I can’t imagine how terribly addictive it would become if it offered online multiplayer. Maybe Vol. 3 will be on Live and offer downloadable content. Unfortunately, there’s neither on Vol. 2.
Suggestions Obviously, we’d all like to see Splinter Cell quality graphics. Online multiplayer and downloadable content would extend the life of this game to eternity. But NBA Street Vol. 2 is consuming way too much of my available gaming time as it is, so improving this title would only make rationing time just that much harder.
Conclusion NBA Street Vol. 2 is as addictive as SSX, plays with 4 as well as FIFA, and can at times be as intense as Madden. You don’t need to be either a sports or extreme sports fan to become engrossed in this game; it offers career-style modes for those willing to invest the time, but the simple Pick Up Game alone will appeal to most gamers and is well worth the $54.
Summary: This game is the most funnest and addicting basketball game I have ever played in my life so far. I own NBA 2K3 and thought it ws the best with Xbox Live and everything but this game blows any other baskteball game away. If you are having friend over and planning on playing some videogames, you can't go wrong with NBA STreet Volume 2. Even if you friend don't like basketball they will just fall in love with this game. I have a friend that doesnt like basket but can't get anough of this game. If there were two words to describe this game they would be cool and addicting. You can choose any players from the starting lineup of any NBA team. Yand you can off course choose the old school players like Dr. J. there is also 3 Jordans in this game. the wizards jordan, the 96 jordan and im not sure about the other 1. There are many courts which are actually located in real life but everybody already knows that.
Summary: NBA Street Volume 2, the next round of street ball hits the Xbox! If you've played NBA Street (and who hasn't), then you know what this is about. If you haven't (where have you been, kid?) let me break it down for you...think And1 Mix Tapes and multiply that by 10! You've got ballers with mad handles, gamers with mucho "ups"-banging it down on your head, and defenders with "broke ankles" limping off the court in embarassment. This is street ball to the fullest complete with an NBA roster and NBA legends as well. If you like "over-the-top" gameplay and dunks, then this is the game for you!
Summary: One word... "WOW" This game is really a blast to play. I never thought a basketball game could be this fun. If you are a fan of basketball or even just a fan of games like Tony Hawk or other fun action games, then you should defintely buy this game. Renting it is just not enough time to play it. Basically you play a game of street hoops with three of your "ballers" to a game of 21. Of course there are tons of different modes to play. The main season mode is called Be a Legend. This is where you start off creating your own character and then play through tons of games and tournements, all the time stealing players from the other team when you beat them and unlocking tons and tons of bonus uniforms and courts. I created my own baller called, "Shot Calla". So far he has led me to an undefeated season.
