Summary:
Do you like NCAA Football 2004? Well if you like that game and basketball, you will benifit from purchasing this game. Its got all the goodies, such as create a player, school, and so forth. The game modes are similar: Single game, Season, Dynasty, and Tournament. When you play a Tournament you can do the Maui invetational or the Big Dance, which I found to be really cool. Another really impressive feature to this game is the depth in the schools that are enlisted in this game. There are hundreds of colleges in this game, chances are you will find you favorite school easily. One problem however is when you create a player, you can't put him on your favorite team unless they have an open spot, and if they don't have and open spot there is no way to release/cut a player off the team to make room for your created player, which kinda stinks. Dynasty is the best mode (obviously) in this game. Like I said it's the same as NCAA Football 2004, which is not a bad thing. A cool feature is when playing Dynasty at the beggining of the season you may schedule/bid for opponents. In the football series you can just schedule any opponent you feel, no matter who you are or they are, but in March Madness the opponent will occationaly denie you. You click on them inviting them and their coach will write you back either accepting or denying your bid. It's cool however it doesn't seem to make sense. I (Penn State) asked for a road game in Wyoming and the coach sent me a comment saying "Wyoming doesn't get enough televised games, and your not a good enough opponent to use one on"? So I invited them to come to Pennsylvania and they again denied me. However I invited Duke to Pennsylavania, and the coach sent me a letter saying it was going to be a good game?!? Although its still a great feature. The recruiting is the same as in NCAA only fewer players obviously, because it's basketball not football. Instead of Sports Illustrated covers you will get Sporting News covers, although I prefer Sports Illustrated covers greatly, but you still get the stats, standings, and so forth. Another cool feature in the Dynasty mode is you can earn points and hire coaches that will improve your players attributes, and for alot of points you can buy facilities as well. Like I said this game is very worth the money. I encourage anyone to buy it.
