from ebay Summary: Here's a recipe any Xbox owner will like: mix in part Mario Kart, part Road Rash, part Wipeout, part SSX Tricky, and part Rush 2049; and blend well. What you get is Atari's latest concoction and their take on go-kart racing - and if you like those ingredients, you will like this game! Mario Kart has to be mentioned because that's pretty much all there ever was in the realm of video game go karting before this. But where Nintendo has crashed and burned (MK 64 was so ANNOYING, and so aimed towards youngsters, that it was barely fun), Atari boosts forward and takes home the trophy for best alternative racer. Not comparing the two games may be impossible, but in the end you’ll be left with only one question "Mario what?" Before I get into the details of what's great about the game and what's not (below), I want to say that the lack of online play has to be it's biggest demerit. But then again, since the next incarnation of Mario Kart on the GameCube won't be online either, Xboxers can rest assured that their exclusive go karter is the best - because Nintendos just cannot be any better than this.
Unless you're wanting to buy the game for your kids. Furious Karting is rated T for Teen with mild violence, strong language and suggestive themes. From what I’ve seen, I would agree that the game may not be appropriate for those 12 and under. Fail to land a stunt correctly, like land on your head, and your driver will utter something that sounds an awful lot like “ugh”. (Heck maybe I’m wrong, maybe THAT is what he’s saying.) Also, ticked off drivers WILL make certain hand gestures (although I’m sure you’ve seen them before). I guess the prevalence of road rage is part of why they called it “furious” karting.
