Summary: This game isnt no madden nor no sega sport game. The controls werent that bad at first to use but it could have been better. microsoft has not really done sports games that much before. so i guess people cant blame them since their trying and everything. I got my copy of fever at software etc. for almost 18 dollars, well caus it was used. Normally i dont have that many sports games on my systems but overall i would have to say that its not the worst game ive played. The nfl 2k and 2k2 games on dreamcast were really good.So luckly xbox has sega sports games, and im glad they have madden and other ea games. Caus then xbox would be screwed if we just had the nfl fever games. Which means people wont buy it.
Summary: This game was horrible. I hated it. It was one of the worst games that I have ever played. I personally think that this game was overrated. The graphics were horrible, and the actual game play was bad too. Another thing that was bad was that you couldn't even make up your own team. If it were my choice I would never buy this horrible thing that Microsoft tried to pass as a game. Bill Gates is really falling behind in his attempts to keep up with Sony. I mean they have GTA3 and now Vice City, what’s XBOX have? But oh well the store that I bought it from will not let me bring it back. So take my advice on this one, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. If you have an XBOX do what I am going to do and trade it in for a PS2, at least they have some fun games. Onto the actual game. When you first put in the disk, on the start menu, you hear some weird music and then you can start a season or exhibition game. Or you can go to training camp or make up a new player by going to front office. I think that it is really stupid that you can not make up your own jerseys for your created team. All you get to do is make up the name for your team, nothing else. That is what really gets on my nerves. So if you are the store and wondering what to buy, get the PS2 from Sony, not XBOX from Microsoft.
Summary: Well NFL Fever arrived and Im kinda figuring out why I got such a super deal off ebay even though its a 29.99 dollar title now. On the ups Fever 2002 is worth every stinking cent of 14.50. On the down, if I would have paid 50.00 for this football game I would have been left disappointed. Is it worth $30, HMMMM ! I guess so. Hey, while it is true that the graphics make for some super awesome PIGSKIN EYE CANDY, graphics alone never has, or will make a game great. In comparing Fever 2002 to Sega's "Dreamcast" NFL2k1. Fever IMHO falls short! While NFL2K1 put you in the game, making you feel like the running back you are running with is actually you, or when your receiver catches a blistering pass, and shakes off a defender. Thats where Fever 2002 fumbled the ball for me.
Summary: I rented Fever to, basically, check it out. What I found was a football game that is great fun and a little more "arcade" like versus Madden or NFL 2K series. I am another who may have more then one football game in my video library this fall.
Summary: This game is a very good one. I am a Madden fan, but before the next season of football games come out I wanted to try NFL Fever. I was not disappointed. The game is a lot of fun to play, and there are tons of options. I am not saying that I won't buy Madden's, but I am saying there is a good possibility that I might own both Madden 2003 and NFL Fever 2003. I look forward to reviewing Madden & NFL Fever from a comparison standpoint.
