Not having been impressed with Microsoft's lineup, I still wanted to give NHL Rivals a shot to see if there was anything to write home about. The game is good and bad, which has been typical of Microsoft's sports games. A game that was designed to push the graphical power of the X-Box along with the ability to play online. The only issue is that you can play a better game of hockey online with ESPN. However, all is not bad and NHL Rivals has a strong foundation for improvement--That is if Microsoft wants to or will they treat this like they have with Fever, which is a shame.
