Summary:
One of my first snowboarding games ever and at a cheap price since it is previously played. With the variety of snowboarding games out for xbox this game is special from the rest. This is probably the first snowboarding game where your main goal is not to race but to complete a series of objectives. There is times when you need to race, but most of the time not. This game can be tough sometimes and especially can get frustrating looking for a hidden pathway that leads to your agent on skies who leads you to a bomb. The route to where you can reach the bottom of the mountain is a many and all needs to be explored in order to complete more challenges(objectives). The story line is somewhat bland lacking interest. It can be confusing sometimes how your enemies react.

Summary:
Dark Summit is your typical "Girl snow boarder uncovers government/alien conspiracy by exploring a bizarre post-apocalyptic ski resort mountain" type game. In other words, you ain't played this one before! Having no interest in snow boarding, bmx, or skate boarding games in general, it was the "mission-based" snow boarding concept that drew me to try this game. The concept of a mission based snow boarding game has potential and this game shows it, though the story line and challenges should be better matched. (It seemed like story and challenge concepts were thought up by two different groups.) More story would have been fun, and I thought this game showed the first glimmering of what trying to combine a sport game with a tomb raider type game could be. The challenges vary in difficulty, with some rather hard ones towards the end of the game, though not impossible. (4 hours working on the jumps in one end challenge, and god how I hate platform jumping!) Ultimately I'm glad I took the plunge and picked this unusual game up!

Summary:
Overall, I cannot recommend this one, if you are considering purchasing it by all means rent it first to see if it is what you want. I lost interest in it very rapidly and of the 4 other people that I know who have played it none liked it.

Summary:
My best summary for Dark Summit would be SSX with a dish of Tony Hawk. I didn't hesitate one second to buy this game, and I was right. I felt I got my moneys worth. The game is SSX with missions. A very fun two player mode, with 4 different types of games.
