Description WWF Raw Is War raises the standard by which all video games are measured, as The Rock, The Undertaker, and 35 other superstars are thrown into your living room like never before. For the first time ever opponents will be able to grab clothing, announcers will provide in-game commentary on the fly, and audiences will scatter as the action spills out of the ring and into the stands. All-new backstage combat areas randomly change from venue to venue. Opponents can even be confronted on their way to the ring. It’s everything you’ve come to expect from the wildly popular spectacle that is the WWF.

Summary: Overall WWF RAW is a good game. And yet i want the second one to come out RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see i am anxious about the next one. Lets get down to the point.
Summary: WWF Raw is an amazing game with eye popping graphics and it's so realistic as if you're really watching the real Raw on t.v. It has all of the superstars including The Rock, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The game would've been better if there were steel cage matches, hell in the cell, and all the other special matches. But this game is just amazing!

Summary: My opinion of this games is that the game play is slightly hard to grasp the graphics are as good as they can be for a games console, so i would by this game again. and all you critics who own a ps2 are byist if you owned an x-box then you wouldnt critisise this game as much, so none of you can really give this game a review because you are all byist towards the console you own i have a ps2 a game cube and a x-box and i have all the smakdown series and wrestlemania x8 and raw is war and they all have their faults, not every game is perfect cus if it was then all the computer games designers (like me) wouldnt have a job to do and all you critics wouldnt critasise every game that comes out..... so from now on i think that people who diss certain games are single minded and no one really cares what you think...
Summary: Like many others say, WWF Raw seems half finished. I'm writing this review so none of you waste $40.00 like I did. First of all I hope you just like regular fighing in the ring because there's no backstage, no parking lot, no hell in the cell, no TLC, no casket matches or any other different match types. Also, WWF Raw is missing superstars when they have wrestlers like K Kwik and others when superstars like Booker T,Goldust,Lance Storm no where to be found.
Summary: Another visually stunning game for the X-box. Sadly, the more I play it...the more the glaring faults rear their ugly head.
The reviews before mine cover most of the aspects of this game, so I'll just bring up some issues.
Grappling: I love this concept. It reminds me of "Attitude" for the original Playstation. The downfall is that you really don't stand a chance of performing a move out of a grapple unless your opponent is groggy. In "Attitude" you could perform a move from grapple at any time and it worked very well. You can't do that in this game so you have to resort to kicking/punching your opponent over and over and over until they become groggy.
Stamina Meter: A very innovative idea. Each wrestler has his own stamina bar which lowers when performing moves or running around. Sadly, since you have to punch/kick the tar out of your opponent before having a good chance of performing a move, when they finally do become groggy...nine times out of ten you don't have enough stamina left to do anything.
Controller setup: It just seems like there are too many actions mapped to one button. The four buttons on the face of the controller control everything from taunting, picking up items, kicking/punching, grappling, getting in the ring, climbing the turnbuckle, etc... It can get very frustrating when you are seconds away from getting pummeled...go to pick up a chair and taunt goes off instead.
The crowd meter: This is by far the worst thing implemented into this game. Basically, if the crowd is rooting for you, you can do special moves and also have a liklier success in pinning your opponent. This is really hard to overcome when you are playing a wrestler that is not a crowd favorite. Plus, it really seems to have no rhyme or reason to it. For example, I was playing one of my created characters and facing Bubba Dudley. My crowd bar was almost full and was flashing. Bubba punched me once and it immediately switched to his favor and flashing.
Finishing Moves: This revolves around the crowd meter. Imagine this...you can only perform a finishing move when your opponent is groggy and your crowd meter is flashing. Now, in order to get your opponent groggy, you must kick/punch him repeatedly. In doing this, you are lowering your crowd meter by repeating the same couple moves over and over again. Maybe I'm missing something. While on the subject of finishing moves...I've always wondered why in any wrestling game I've ever played, the opponent has the ability to get up after they were placed in a finisher. I "Pedigreed" a PC opponent in this game, and he kicked out of my pin afterword.
Physics: I also wonder when game developers are actually going to figure simple physics into a wrestling game. I was playing Big Show and was facing Spike Dudley. Sure enough, little Spike picked Show up over his head and slammed him to the mat. That was right after he knocked me down with one punch after the opening bell.
Create a wrestler: I really love this aspect of RAW. Not an overwhelming amount of options, but I was happy with it. I did manage to re-create the Ultimate Warrior using it.
Other things this game is missing is a career mode which really hurts the replay value. No "gimmick matches" like the steel cage, battle royal, etc... which have become pretty much standard with any wrestling game.
