Summary:
Overall this game isn't bad. If you have ever played Starcraft for PC, this game is basically a duplicate of that. I wouldn't suggest buying this game if you don't like strategy games such as Age of Empires or Starcraft.

Summary:
After reading several lukewarm reviews for this game I was a little apprehensive, but it lived up to every expectation I could have had for an AVP real time strategy (RTS) game. Awesome! There are tons of units from all three sects (aliens, predators, and colonial marines) who each have special abilities limited only to that particular unit. I think the best thing about this game is that playing as each different group has it's own distinct challenges. For example, predators can cloak and heal themselves individually, but they run out of energy quickly and can still be detected in several ways. Nonetheless, a single predator warrior is capable of eradicating a great many humans if he's used wisely. They also gain credits by collecting trophies from downed foes. these credits can be used to summon up more warriors or upgrade existing units. The aliens must infest an area using hive nodes excreted from drones. This creates the webbing of the hive which heals all aliens that are on it and allows facehuggers to roam. You must then send out your hoard to search for suitable hosts and drag them back to the hive to provide hosts for the facehuggers (hatched from eggs laid by the queen) to implant their deadly embryos. Of course, a new aliens bursts out in a few seconds and this is how your army grows different hosts create different breeds like the runner who can leap across the screen at an enemy, giving him no chance for ranged attacks. Units can be upgraded to spit acid or inject enemies with poison that cause them to vomit black stuff (coooool) and stuff like that. Then there's the ravager, an alien so badass it doesn't even have hands, just scythe-like blades at the tips of its arms. This one likes to decapitate enemies with one swipe; the drawback is that headless foes can't be hosts for new aliens. Marines excel in that every unit has guns, so they never have to mix it up like the aliens and predators. Synthetic units (androids) provide motion detectors and transports for heavy items like sentry guns. Flamethrowers, well, throw flames. Medics heal wounded soldiers, comm techs call in reinforcements and do all mechanical repairs (including synthetics). Credits are gained by repairing atmosphere processors and by just kicking ass. Each race has a set of missions to complete. Aliens fight humans, humans fight predators, predators fight predators, humans fight aliens and predators, predators fight aliens, aliens fight aliens, predator fight aliens and humans; the game does a great job of mixing it up. I love playing as the aliens and just dominating by the sheer speed of reproduction as fallen foes become fodder for your ever-growing army.
Sweet.

Summary:
Aliens Versus Predator Extinction is a hybrid RTS that mixes elements of a games like Fallout Tactics,Odium, and Cannon Fodder with standard RTS. It is Based on the story of two of our greatest Sci-Fi horror villains battling it out on LV-742. This review is written from the Marine missions. I believe there would have to be three different reviews for each species. They are all a little different.
