Summary This game, along with Halo 1 and Super Mario 64, is one of my favorite video games ever. This game took what was great about Goldeneye and brought it to a whole new level. The single-player game is fun and addictive and it has co-op, a big change from some of the games today. So many weapons so little time, this game is packed with weapons like: Sniper Rifle, crossbow ,Tranquilizer gun, rocket launcher, remote mines, throwing knives, labtop gun, machine guns, grenades, alien weapons and more! Also an exellent addition to the game was giving all the weapons a secondary fire, this means more varity in ways to kill people. But The greatest part of the game is the stunning Multi-player, which is still one of the best multiplayer games I have ever played. There are so many game modes to choose from like:King of the Hill,Capture the Bag,Data Uplink,Combat, etc. There are also great classic levels from Golden Eye (the Facility,Complex,Temple, etc) as well as great new levels. But what makes the multiplayer fun is the simulants. You can have 8 simulants playing with you at a time, which means you dont have to wait till saturday to invite your friends over to play multiplayer. You can set the Simulants difficulty, technique, team, appearance, etc. Overall this game is almost perfect, and if you never played it you missed out on one of the best shooters of all time!Sound Sound is great. The gun sounds are amazing(for the N64).And the single-player game has voice overs!(something that not even Golden Eye had)Its alwas fun to hear your foes yell when they are shot or killed. The only problem is that some of the music is a bit too relaxed and may get repeditive.Gameplay The gameplay is near perfect. Truly easy controls, exellent muliplayer,co-op mode, simulants and great weapons makes this game a classic.Would you like to Comment? However, since I lack an expansion pack, I couldn't do much with it. The summary of the game is to complete challenges while being attacked by Killsims (or something along that title). Because I couldn't do much with the game, I found myself bored very quickly.Sound I didn't pay much attention to the sound, sorry.Gameplay Gameplay is good, it's standard one person shooting. It flows at a good tempo, making it look like you're playing as a stealth assassin.Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. I have had it for about two years and I'm still not bored with it. With all of the missions, combat simulator, and challenges, this game is by far the best first person shooter on the Nintendo 64.Sound The sound is really fits the game and the missions well. Some of the music is fast paced and exciting. Then some is quiet and scary for certain moments. Overall I really enjoy the sound.Gameplay The gameplay is what makes this game great. The combat simulator is the only thing I really play anymore but it is still one of the most fun and exciting things about this game. My friends and I always make up all kinds of games that we can play on the combat simulator but after two years I'm still coming up with even more things to do on that darn game! I have played the combat simulator so much that my character, VaNiLaRiCe, which I made up, has about 17,000 kills and still going strong. So,the replay value on this game is endless and you never get bored. Now the missions are great too but sometimes get frustrating, but overall the missions are good too. The missions are even more fun with cheats!Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary perfect dark is simply an awesome game with a nearly infinite number of ways to play. like FPS with clear directives and goals? then play the solo mission. finish that? then try it again at the next hardest level, complete with more intelligent enemies, and more goals to accomplish in each mission. if you get bored with solo missions, team up with a buddy and beat the game while working together.if you want to take a break from the missions, try the combat mode with up to 4 players. select exactly the number and type of weapons available, and the number and difficulty of sims to fight against! Sound the sounds and music are great! good music, fits the game very well.Gameplay very good gameplay- your character is very easy to control.Would you like to Comment? Summary First of all, this cannot be compared with computer FPS's, and in that regaurd it isn't the best FPS. But if you want to talk console FPS's then that is where it shines (yes it is better than Halo you Microsoft Fanboys). I can't believe how over hyped Halo is. This game is just so much more balanced and the controls are much easier to learn (same as Goldeneye's).Sound Sound again is sufficient. Not the greatest out there (anymore) but it's very goodGameplay Best console FPS, and in some ways better then most PC FPS's. The only reason it can't compete with the PC is because of the N64's limitationsWould you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member.
